Backgrounds

My latest book will use backgrounds made from scraps, bits, and bobs. The book I chose is considerably larger than my scanner, so you don't see the top, bottom, or edges of the pages.

Here's a good example of the scanner cutting off the top purple band on the left.

Shades of gray in a linear background.

Gold and brown tones were used in this background.

I used patterned tissue from the Dollar Tree and a large black stripe on the right.

This is a double page spread. I wanted to capture all of it, so I scanned each page separately. This is an example of a willy-nilly collage. I'm usually not very good with this type, but I actually was happy with the way this one turned out. It took about 4 hours to create. The center flowers are actually from a piece of high quality gift wrap.

Elizabeth,
My favorite pages are Gold and Brown, and the Willy Nilly. I do believe you captured that very well. Nice work.
