Today, while waiting for my bird nest to dry, I made a bird cage.
I found two more of those despicable wire hangers. I cut them in half at the bottom and bent them using my favorite bending tool and electrical tape.
Originally, I had planned to cover the wire with either fabric or paper, but decided I had already spent enough time on it.
I needed something for the bird nest to sit on, so grabbed this plate that had been a part of my Grandmother's dishes I inheritied. She collected 24 of these, and this one would never be used, and never be missed. Originally, I was going to make a mosaic, but decided against that.
With just a bit of bending and fussing, I hope to make this look like a bird cage worthy of a bird nest.
This is Day 10 of 22 and I recycled two worthless metal hangers, turning them into a bird cage for my bird nest. I also repurposed this chipped and cracked bread plate that would never be used, and would more than likely end up in the trash, since no one in my city recycles ceramics or tableware.
Once again, no word from Blogger as to how to get my icons back on my left sidebar. The "Art Friends" are clickable, but my "Blogs I love to visit," the ones with the updates and the icons of current posts are gone. GONE forever, it appears. When I tried to add them back in via blogger, it wouldn't let me. I am frustrated beyond belief. I see some are able to reach my blog, while others are not. I don't understand that, either. Thank you for your continued support for my art and your understanding of my panic during this situation.
