WOYWW 216: the one where she's been dumpster diving

WOYWWendy is so glad you stopped by.  She wants to join Julia at Stamping Ground to show off what I found in my neighbor's dumpster.  I think it will make a super stencil for my hand made color mists.

As an aside, did anyone notice I didn't leave a link for our beloved WOYWW queen Julia last week?  I left a link to Jan's blog, but not Julia's.  Hope I made up for it this week (grin).

Of course, Wendy also wanted you to see one of my rocking horses I framed.  It's actually a Christmas rocking horse, but it sits in my office, so she doesn't get to see it very often.

I nearly forgot.
Some Many of you asked to see the book I made and covered up on my table last week.  You can read the entire post here and see the entire book, including scans, which are far better than the photo.

Usual caveat applies.  Please leave your number when visiting from Julia's and getting your number from Julia.  Hope I made up for my Julia faux pax this week and Julia forgives me.  Click on any Julia, Julia, or Julia to learn more about this addictive obsession.

ohoho I've just remembered I stopped for tea and then forgot to call in!
The last thing I took out of a dumpster was an old garden gate/door it acted as a pretend door in my fence, just repainted it so now it looks nice and new again! This time it has a new handle...the door that goes nowhere! Have a great craft week!
Happy WOYWW!?

I just brought a haul home from my hubby's workshop a few weeks ago. If I did Steampunk, I'd have been in heaven with the boxes of gears, nuts, and bolts he had. So I have a surprise in my blog post for you this week. I hope you enjoy it!! :D I'm going to check out your link for the book you made. Have a great week. (((HUGS)))

I doubt if I'd ever get as fascinating junk as that if I turned over Peggy's trash- she always keeps anything remotely "useful"!! Patsy #55 (Hope you won't have trouble with my blog this time!!! Have no idea why!)

Well done on your dumpster find! I love finding useful free stuff. Guess what I found among my old bits and pieces last week? A little girl on a wooden rocking horse toy I found in a shop about thirty years ago!!! I plan to paint her and put her on my blog sometime soon so look out for her! Julie Ann #17 x

That piece of metal will make a wonderful mask, I can't wait to see what you do with it.
I am a great believer in scrounging out of skips, (that's what we call them) but haven't found anything like this lovely thing you have found. My finds tend to be larger and more mundane, A garden table that needed minor repair, timber for fire wood and my daughter extracted an antique door that someone was sending to the tip.
HAve fun 'dumpster diving' but make sure you don't get stuck.

Great find..but what was it originally...looks like they took apart a spaceship!

Other's junk is always so much more interesting than your own and this is a gem, will make a brilliant stencil so it will be fun if we can identify it when you get round to using it!!

they always say that someone's rubbish is someone else's treasure and you have proved it. I do think that would be great to spritz through so can't wait to see what you do with it
Sending a hug for WOYWW and I hope you have a great week
