T Stands For Before Tuesday Morning (aka Emerson Biggins)

This post nearly didn't happen.  I've spent over seven hours trying to debug the original post I created.    I finally gave up and copied the images from the preview,  Unfortunately, I doubt any of the pictures will enlarge, since I had to copy the photo rather than linking it.    Yes, I'm really frustrated and really tired.

The week before Halloween, I needed a battery for my watch that I had never worn, but had left on when not in use.  I also needed a battery charger, and found one at a decent price at this store called Batteries and Bulbs.   I thought it would be a treat to eat out, but didn't want to do so alone, so I went back home, put the new battery in my watch (the company wanted $8.00 (USD) to install it for me), started recharging my AA batteries, and asked my foodie friend Sally if she wanted to go to lunch.

In case you weren't here last week, this is the watch I'd never worn and now it has a new battery.  The protective cover is still on the watch.  Somehow, I'm afraid to remove it.

Sally and I had been to Emerson Biggins downtown, but never this one.  Everything about this place was so much different than the one downtown, with the exception that it was a sports bar.   Sally suggested it, so I wasn't going to say no thanks.

Somehow I got the feeling I had disturbed her afternoon nap.

Even though it was her decision to eat here, she was having a hard time deciding what to get.

As you can see, there are very few choices for vegetarians.

And no, I wasn't about to get another burger.   After we ordered, I went around and took photos of pictures on the walls.

Some were local,

some weren't.

I was trying to get shots of this building and frame,

when a man walked up and tried to get me to give him my camera so he could take my photo with this.  I nearly had to fight him off.  Now I know why I don't drink alcohol.

There were lots of Kansas teams shown, like

the World Series Kansas City Royals.  That's baseball, for those of you who may not know.  The KC Chiefs, shown with the Bud Light are a football team (not to be confused with soccer).

I got a bit carried away taking photos of the Halloween decorations.

Our meals finally arrived. My meal was French Dip and fries (chips) and

Sally got a mushroom burger, fries and a beer (since she didn't have to drive).

Finally.  I just hope I can drop by to visit each of you before the end of Tuesday.  By now you probably know the drill.   It's your turn to share a drink related post.  It can be photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, teabags, scrapbooking, or any other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.   Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I (hopefully), along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit.  Old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time.

This is Day 7 of AEDM and I held a link party here featuring T Stands For Tuesday.

Bummer - computer problems, annoying watch problem, then being harassed in a sports bar you didn't even choose to go to! I think you need a drink, Elizabeth. Just kidding ;-) Your French dip sandwich looks delicious.

Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

It looks a super destination with all the sporting posters on the walls.
It must have been annoying when the guy wanted to take your camera, some folk just cannot mind their own business and take no for an answer.
Your food did look delicious, I like the sound of Sally's burger.
Happy T day wishes.

I'm sorry you had so much hassle with your computer/posting. I can see you potos loud and clear, so no need for enlargements. Don't worry.
The sports restaurant looks so typically American. I love to see all the photos and paraphenalia on the Wall. I don't think the menú would have had much choice for me either, But hey, it looks like a nice place.
I'm sorry I forgot 2nd on the 2nd again! (Note to self: must do better next month)
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

Oh no, not more computer problems. GRRRR. I think technology problems are the most frustrating of all, and they seem to come up so often in one shape or form for all of us. How was your French Dip? It looks like it could be a fun place to go eat, and maybe even a good place to let go of the technology stress. But it would be better if they had more veggie choices. Hope it's a good T day and you have no more hand or computer problems. (And no more broken railings either.) Hugs-Erika

Computer issues and creepy guys at the sports bar. The meal looked typical and they usually have okay food. Happy Tuesday. :)

computer issues-ugh!! Glad you go your watch in working order again.
I think Sally just had too many choices to select from:):). Too bad they don't have a few vegetarian options. Interesting memorabilia around the restaurant /sports bar. Never been to a sports bar- I always thought they'd be really loud and don't like that when I'm eating.
Hope your days are much better all around this week. Happy T day!

It's always fun to see local heros on the walls...even if they are just sports heros. :)
Happy T day!

Glad you were able to get your watch battery. I don't like to eat out by myself either. Emerson Biggins certainly has a large menu. No wonder it took Sally a while to make a decision. Boy, that Philly Cheese Steak sounds good. I'm not a big sports fan so the memorabilia on the walls doesn't impress me, but I do like the Halloween decorations.

Glad you got the battery sorted out. that plastic cover will prevent scratches from forming on the face, so maybe it's a good idea to keep it on.
that restaurant seems interesting..your french dip looked delicious.
I'd like to try the taco basket:)

Thanks for your visit today..and I will definitely leave some socks occasionally, thanks for the suggestion!

hugs!

thank you for explaining the glass making method on my post. Glad I seemed to be right in my thoughts that they were the work of young folk.

I'm in for the fish and chips. Or maybe the traditional club. Or that mushroom burger looks tasty. I get a kick out of restaurants with local flavor in their decor :)

Happy T Tuesday!

I'll have what Sally had. I'm not driving either Lol. Thanks for linking me up Elizabeth. I'm pretty much lost using my phone instead of my computer.

Hi Elizabeth,
First off, thank you for adding my link. My post published while I was sleeping and today has been so busy I just now got around to linking.
Your watch is so pretty. I have a watch I hardly wear but when I do want to wear it the battery always seems to be dead. Those batteries are so small and yet they cost plenty. Such a great idea to keep the protector on your watch face. It is so easy to put scratches on the glass. I know from experience. ;)
That meal certainly looks tasty!
Happy Tea Day!
Kate

I'm with Darla and Sally.....not driving either...LOL!
I think most sports bars all look the same to me, not crazy about them unless the food is better than good.
Happy T-day.....finally :)

I'm not a huge fan of sports bars -- or anything with a TV. Or for that matter, sports in general. But the French dip looked pretty tasty!

Looks like a fun place. My problem with sports bar type places is that they are always so noisy.
Still feeling out of touch here but hoping to get back to normal soon. Grief takes time.

wow, a lot of great photos...too bad it was so much extra work! I am sure I would never have figured out the work-around. hope things will go smoother now. I missed last week because my scanner wasn't set up as normal, since we had printed some invitations, and I didn't know how to get it 'back' to the right settings. sheesh. and nearly forgot today was Tuesday, so I'm late. again. Have commitments tonight so will also probably be late visiting everyone, but I will visit eventually! hugs to you ♥

P.S. And thank you for your kind comments and well wishes on my blog today ;-) You always leave such thoughtful comments, dear Elizabeth; but they're especially appreciated when one is struggling.

I can totally relate, I had one ( actually two ) of those days too! On our blog I shared a little technique I use to be able to cope, so grab a cup of tea tea and be welcome ;-)

Oh dear, somehow I commented with a random identity, I do not see a way to fix it -it's a bad day for Technology - so this comment is to tell you that the previous comment is from Nelly from the Nelly and Norah blog ;-)

I have a great drink related post - we went out to Virginia wine country yesterday. But I haven't written the post yet, so I'll have to come back once I pull it together. Pictures take time and I'm short on it righ now so I'm pushing through "just do it" for art every day month. Out all day today and tomorrow (and Thursday) for real estate training at my Broker. He does absolutely amazing training offerings (RE/MAX One, Prince Frederick, MD) so I take advantage of them when I can. But I definitely have a very crowded schedule right now!
