Not too long ago, my foodie friend Sally and I went to a lecture on Peru as put out by our local library system. It was quite interesting and I learned mostly about their political system, which was often tumultuous, and saw lots of photos of Machu Picchu.
Afterward Sally and I stopped off in the neighborhood for a fish and chips (fries) special they were offering.
For those of you who were here several weeks ago, you know I went to Hooters, where I was the only person at the restaurant.
Even though it was about the same time of day, Long John's had seated customers.
Although the fish was decent, it didn't compare to Hooter's fish. The various dips and sauces were free, though, which mostly made up for it. As you can see, my drink of choice was water, but there was no lemon in sight.
Now it's time to share your drink related post this week. It can be photos, a
place you visited, movies, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media,
drawings, paintings, tags, teabags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital,
hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a
drink, any drink. Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I,
along with the rest of the T gang will be by to visit. Old photos are
acceptable because they may be taken any time.
I would be remiss if I didn't tell you this is the
last Tuesday in September, so please dig up your Second on the 2nd in
time to join me next week. Since the 2nd lands on Monday in October,
if you wish to combine your T post with your second look post, I ask
that you add it to both links.
Fish and chips sounds good, although today I felt so bad that I couldn't eat anything! Hope you enjoyed your lecture on Peru, it is such a wonderful place. Happy T Day, I'm going back to bed now! Hugs, Valerie
that lecture on Peru would have me interested, too. i actually do not know very much about it, but a friend of me was there last year and brought lots of interesting photos. your Food Looks yummy! happy t-day!
I see ads on tv all the time for Long John Silvers. We don't have one in the area. The only one in Massachusetts is located in Boston. Odd, considering Boston has some of the best seafood restaurants around. Looks good. I love fish and chips. Hello to your friend, Sally. Have a Happy T Day.
Your fish and chips look good but Oh! How I would love to take you to our favourite fish and chip place! Sorry I haven't been around lately! Hugs,Chrisx

I haven't had a good old plate of fish and chips like that in so long!! YUM! I miss going to the library. Something I will eventually figure out time for. Happy T day!
I've never been to a Long John Silvers. Fish places never do very well here in New Hampshire with the seacoast so close. I don't think there are any, but I maybe wrong. The lecture on Peru sounds interesting though. I would have a lot to learn because I don't really know much about that country. Happy T day. hugs-erika
Your fish and chips looked good, I was interested that you normally have to pay extra for the sauces. At our favourite Fish and Chip destination, they come with the meal free. Like Chris. I would like you to visit our chippy to see how it compares with the USA eateries. Happy T day wishes. Yvonne xx
I notice Valerie mentions feeling poorly & I’m very much in the same boat, but I could still eat those fish and chips! I’m sure the lecture on Peru must have been very interesting, and I rather wish I was there. Have a happy week.
It's been literally years since I went to Long John Silvers, and when I visited Hooters maybe 10 years ago for lunch, the place was packed(lol) I normally cook fish at home for tacos, but I am a sucker for French Fries in all their glory from many different places. Hope your day is fab! Hugs...and Happy Tuesday! RO
I would have enjoyed that lecture, Elizabeth. I'm fascinated by ancient ruins but have only been to Tulum, Chichin Itza and El Rey (a little-known ruin in Cancun). Machu Pichu looks well-preserved and extensive.
You'll have to start bringing your own lemons for your lemon water. It's odd that the restaurant has fish and chips, but no lemons.
Never been to Long John Silver's. Never been to a Hooters either. I like fish and chips and the local brewery serves up a good version. I'm late to the Tea Party today but will catch up with everyone.
I'm loving the name of the restaurant you visited, it's the perfect name for somewhere that sells fish and chips ...lol 😉. The lecture on Peru sounds interesting too. Wishing you a very Happy T Day! J 😊
I think I would have been more interested in a talk about the geography, scenery and wildlife of Peru, but that may be because I am burnt out listening to politics. The climate and discourse are alternately mind blowing and numbing. Thank goodness for friends and times shared with them. I love fish and chips out, because I never make it at home. Looks great, happy t day!
I always wanted to go to Macchu Picchu. I know someone who just went this summer and said it was stunning but must be in good shape and the air is thin. i am not Fish and chips person but I think i would go to Hooters if the food is better. my drink of choice is orange juice mixed with Soda water

Bleubeard and I welcome you
Art, including the journey, background techniques, sewing on both paper and fabric, new experiments, photos, failures, and successes will be shared on this site. I have removed my e-mail address until such time as I can get it to work again. Thank you for understanding. You can always leave a note on my blog and I will visit you.
Please check out my Previous Collaborations link above to see what projects I have been involved in over the past 12 years. Current and ongoing projects only are shown below.
Occasionally, Silent Sunday will showcase photos of my home, neighborhood, or community. A picture is often worth a thousand words.
Feelfree to drop by every second Thursday of the month for my Second Thursday Tutorials. They are interspersed with my other Tutorials found at the link page above.

Click on the above image daily and help feed hungry dogs and cats. You can donate cat litter, too. You simply answer two questions (one about cats and one about dogs), and whether your answer is correct or not, you have just donated kibble to help feed both shelter animals and those in need.
I will create the art, critique things I feel are important, and put pen (and sometimes glue) to paper, or fingers to keys, while Bleubeard will mostly watch, supervise, or sleep.

We don't have any Long John Silvers around here so I have to go to my parents house to have any. Not bad at all for fast food fish :)
Never been to Long John Silver's. Never been to a Hooters either. I like fish and chips and the local brewery serves up a good version. I'm late to the Tea Party today but will catch up with everyone.
I'm gettin' a late start and see you've already added me lol. Thx :)
I love fried catfish, but I can't remember ever eating at Long John Silver's. It'd be a fun place on Talk Like a Pirate Day, I think.

This looks delish. It also reminds me it's time for breakfast!
