T Stands For Quick T

As promised last week,

here is the third

Little Free Library

in my neighborhood.  This one is three blocks south of my house on the same street.

As I was walking home from photographing the library, I stopped to take a photo of this fun display I found just two blocks from my home.

These people got into Halloween in a big, big way.  Of course, I saw lots of pumpkins decorating porches, but this really had me laughing and enjoying the scene.

But it was time to head home because I had lots of work, including cleaning my dirty house and shopping for groceries.

So instead of setting a table or fixing a drink, I decided to simply show some of the drinks I purchased while I was grocery shopping.

I knew I was going to love this lime soda because it was made with real sugar in Mexico.

One of the things I have to do this week is cut down my flower bed.  It's showing its age and is looking really bad.  For those of you who have been here for years, you know it takes me two days to mow this bed down.  So I'll be by to visit you during T time, but I have a limited window of opportunity before this warm, dry spell ends.

UPDATE: I've been trying to get my lawn mower started, so it may have to go to the repair shop, unless I can eventually diagnose the problem.  For now, I'm still here and will visit both today and tomorrow.

Now it's your turn to share your drink related post.  Any drink, any experience is acceptable.   Coffee, tea, water, wine, hot chocolate, lemonade, etc., postcards, movies, old masters paintings, photos, or a trip out and about are all acceptable.  The more unique and unusual the better, in my opinion.  Once you link, Bleubeard, the T gang, and I will be by to visit.

Love those little libraries, great idea. Great Halloween display, too. If you did a lot of work in the garden you probably enjoyed some cold drinks afterwards. Sorry about the lawn mower! Happy T Day and goodnight, hugs, Valerie

I love the little libraries, thanks for sharing! It must be so exciting to visit one and look through the books! They look so charming too, the little leaf handle is adorable :-). The Halloween decorations are such fun and I bet it would be too spooky for me to visit at night-time. The lime soda looks so refreshing - delicious! Hope you get your mower fixed soon and wishing you a Happy T day! J :-)

I, also, love the little libraries. :) Those people really get into Halloween!
I hope to can figure out the mower so you don't have to bring it in. Or if you have to have it repaired that it can be fixed quickly at little cost. :)

That is one crazy Halloween set up. The old wheeled hearse is amazing. Wonder how you store that? We don't have Krueger's stores around here, and I don't think I could get the Mexican lime drink, but I bet it was good. Love seeing the little free library near your house. :) Happy T Day. Hugs-Erika

It is amazing how much time and effort some people will put into their holiday displays. And tho it's not my thing I do LOVE seeing the over the top decorations!

What a good idea! In the UK I've done a similar thing, on ly you sign in online. They do it on camp sites too.
I'm afraid I'm not a lover of Halloween and consequently a halloween display in the garden is not something I'd appreciate. But it takes all kinds to make a world, otherwise it would be dead boring....
I also caugfht up on my blog reading as I've been away. I really enjoyed looking at the turtles, so thank you for taking so many photos. I loved it.
I hope you get your lawn mower started soon before the weather turns.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

I also like the ideas of those little libraries, folk seem to respect and look after them so well.
Super photos with the garden decorations for Halloween, it could give a few surprise shrieks I think as night draws to a close.
You will probably need one of those refreshing drinks after your gardening.
Happy T day.

Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog :-). With regard to the pumpkin beer we aim for 40 UK pints (50 US pints) and it's well worth all the work involved - it tastes so yummy!. We tried increasing the amounts once but we found the sizes became a little hard to manage, for example we discovered our special brewing spoon was no longer long enough because of the extra liquids involved - so funny! :-). Happy T Day! J :-)

Oh my gosh- they really celebrate in a big way there! WOW! Looks very good!
And those libraries are so nice!!
I am so sorry to hear that your lawn mower got on strike. We had to buy a new one this year since the repairing would have cost nearly the same as a new one. Fingers crossed that yours got repaired soon so that you can cut down your flower bed as long as it is warm enough.
Happy T-Day - such interesting drinks ... never heard before.

I like the Free Library idea. There is one in a yard on my routine walking route. I've yet to take or leave a book there but I often stop to read the titles of the books offered. Nice variety of drinks, something for everyone.

Those Free Mini Libraries are so adorable and I hope people are using them. I still read a whole lot but mostly on a reader as it hurts my hands to hold a real book open for very long. Another joy of getting old :( Those drinks look interesting !!!

you are not the only one who still has Autumn clean up still to do! we still have window air conditioners to remove and flower pots to tidy up... Love the view of the cute little library, and the Halloween display is fabulous! just wondering where in the world the people have room to store that black wagon!? it is awesome though. Hope you are doing well and feeling great...since you are out walking I think you must be. Enjoy the Fall sunshine while it lasts! happy T day! ♥

Love seeing your little libraries and Halloween decor in the neighborhood... I live so far out in the boonies that no one bothers... And your drinks look marvelous!!! Funny think though... alot if not all of the glass bottle coke comes from Mexico now as it has a label on it that says so... and hubby my Coke affectionado... doesn't like the taste of it anymore... Happy happy Tday... Don't work too hard my friend. Hugs! deb

After your last post about the free libraries I notice that Shafter has one! I was really surprised, but wondered why they put it near a tiny park ( that nobody uses)and a block for the main enter section of town.......but then again this is Shafter! I do plan to stop and check it out a little closer on my next trip to the bank.

I have been doing some fall clean up also.....little by little....but it will all get done...eventually ...LOL!

I LOVE the Halloween display...how fun!! We have so few trick or treaters that our neighborhood is rather boring.

Happy T-day

Fantastic libraries, the whole concept delights me. Nice hauntings in your world, they are here, although our strong winds have done some damage. Chill is in the air. xox

Those little libraries are becoming quite the thing!

I love seeing how people decorate for holidays. Some do get carried away! They really share the spirit with the neighborhood. My little patio needs work to prepare for the winter, too, but it's hard for me to cut things back. I'll look forward to your "after" pictures.

Thanks again for hosting this fun gathering :)

Hi Elizabeth and Bleubeard, Happy T day. I love the cute little library and I actually saw one over here in an old red telephone box recently.

That Halloween display is pretty amazing!

Love the free library. I hope to get one built in the spring.
Great photos of all that Hallowe'en goodness!

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for your comments, I realise now that everyone hasn't read the previous post. My husband passed away in August, that is why the equipment went back, and why I am finding it hard to paper craft, although I am crocheting.
Sooty is doing well, another week of gentle walks and lampshade at night or when he is left alone, and no jumping on the chairs so my visitors will have to take objects off and put them back when they want to sit!
