Many of you know I was horribly sick from about mid-April till the first part of May.
I confess, I seldom drink water at home, so staying hydrated became a concern when I started getting headaches that couldn't be subdued with caffeine. That's when I started drinking lots of water. But water is boring, so I supplemented water with these drinks I had on hand.
I love "Ice," and it has no calories. I like the taste of it and I love the aftertaste. Even after the bottle is empty, I can fill the bottle with tap water and get a taste of whatever had been in the bottle. I drank lots of it while I was sick. The G2 from Gatorade had a less pleasant aftertaste, which I suspect was because of the additives they must have used to make it low calorie.
Now it's time to share your drink this week, whether it comes from a glass, bottle, cup, mug, or ART. Maybe you were out and about, and found a new spot or a place that sells mugs and pots, or maybe you found a new book to share. Or maybe you created something in your journal. Regardless, if it is in some way drink related, please share your direct link below and we'll be by to visit.
Hydration is super important. I have read in many places that any drink is good, it doesn't just have to be water, so we go down the route of diluting juice in this house, for those that don't enjoy plain water. I am SO very glad you are all better. Happy Happy T Day to you Elizabeth {{Hugs}}
I'm a diet soda girl (Wegman's Soda Brand) and I eat lots of ice. I'm trying to add more water into my diet but I'm addicted to my soda...though, now that I think about it I haven't drunk any today, it's probably why I feel so crappy! I'm glad to read your feeling better.
I love cucumber water (slice cucumber, add it to a pitcher of water, refrigerate for a few hours). But if you don't care for cucumbers I believe you can add slice fruits or even herbs like Lemon Balm and peppermint.
You are so right with water--we should drink a lot - I drink a lot of water and tea every day -- I drink always a glass of water before I eat something.. that helped me a lot to loose weight.I love to hear that you saved money with carrots! I think I must try peanutbutter to carrots as well- peanutbutter is quite fat, but with carrots together it is all right I think! Good tip- thank you! Happy T-Day Elizabeth, I am so glad to hear that you are completely recovered now! oxo Susi
I'm so glad that you're on the other side of that illness, you should consider yourself still recuperating though..not too many marathons in the garden like last week I think! I'm the same about water...and indeed, the same about staying hydrated, I have to make a real effort or I'm blinded by the headache by tea time. Foolish, huh!
Good ole water is my favorite drink. Staying hydrated sure can be an extra challenge when we're not feeling well. Hope that sickness is well behind you now Elizabeth. Wishing you a Happy T Day! oxo
Good news that you seem to be feeling better. Water with a slice of lemon is my usual drink. I haven't tried Ice but most flavored waters have a chemical taste to me.
I find water boring, too, but we always keep Gatorade in the house in case someone is sick. I admit I don't like the low calorie one, but since I rarely drink it, I don't mind too much. I've never tried ICE..will have to pick up a bottle next time I go shopping.
Water is my favorite go to so I have no problem drinking lots. I've heard that Gatorade is a good drink too to hydrate. Hoping you are much, much better and doing well. Any illness that goes on like that can be not just painful, but frustrating. Wishing you better days and a happy T day!
I hope you are doing much better now...being sick is such a drag! looks like you had a good variety of stuff to drink. I wouldn't have thought to refill the bottles with water and still get a bit of flavor. The goblet in the photo is really gorgeous! Hugs to you, dear friend!

Yes drinking water is definitely good. I get after the boy for that one. He's not big on staying hydrated. Ice is a favorite of mini-me. She points it out whenever she's at the store with me. Glad you are finally doing better.
I love water, which is a good thing, but even I don't drink enough and have to remind myself and yes, headaches from dehydration are common and the coffee we both so love makes it worse. To fancy mine water up I tried doing some infusing with lemon slices, strawberries, watermelon and cucumber. All were great and give you a little something extra and don't forget some mint from your herb garden! xox
I don't know if I'll get a post up this week or not. Twice I was almost done and poof ...everything disappeared :( .... something is wrong with our service today as it's also slower than molasses in January.
Ok it finally got posted... it will be tomorrow I'm sure before I get to everyone... whatever is wrong with the server is making life on the net difficult :(
So glad you are finally feeling better! That's wonderful! Dagan, Leah, and Ian still haven't totally shaken the crud they picked up in Japan over a month ago! Does help to drink lots of fluids. :)

Bleubeard and I welcome you
Art, including the journey, background techniques, sewing on both paper and fabric, new experiments, photos, failures, and successes will be shared on this site. I have removed my e-mail address until such time as I can get it to work again. Thank you for understanding. You can always leave a note on my blog and I will visit you.
Please check out my Previous Collaborations link above to see what projects I have been involved in over the past 12 years. Current and ongoing projects only are shown below.
Occasionally, Silent Sunday will showcase photos of my home, neighborhood, or community. A picture is often worth a thousand words.
Feelfree to drop by every second Thursday of the month for my Second Thursday Tutorials. They are interspersed with my other Tutorials found at the link page above.

Click on the above image daily and help feed hungry dogs and cats. You can donate cat litter, too. You simply answer two questions (one about cats and one about dogs), and whether your answer is correct or not, you have just donated kibble to help feed both shelter animals and those in need.
I will create the art, critique things I feel are important, and put pen (and sometimes glue) to paper, or fingers to keys, while Bleubeard will mostly watch, supervise, or sleep.

Always good to stay hydrated. I've gone to drinking way more water than I used to.
I've not tried Ice, but I'm not crazy for Gatorade.
Thanks for the comments on my Washi tape cards.
Here's to an other T-day

Water is so essential.I drink it all the time and it is always my last drink every night. Hope you get better soon, my friend.
Thank you for the birthday wishes.

I like water and keep a glass going all day. Sometimes I add lemon to it, but I don't like any of the commercial flavored waters.
But I'm having coffee now ;)
