Today I'm at Art Journal Journey joining our host Mia who can be found at Craftartista. Her theme this month is Make your own background. I'm also sharing this with Nicole and Friday Face Off because there is a face in this post.

The TH paper doll is sitting on one of the bubbles, all of which were created with yellow ink, then cut with punches and glued in place over 110 lb cardstock painted pinkish red. The sentiment was computer generated and outlined using black dye ink.
Thanks for dropping by today. Bleubeard and I hope to see you and your handmade backgrounds soon at Art Journal Journey and a face at Friday Face Off.

...don't let your bubble pop!
Your bubble pop background is great, and the young man in it. Great idea how you did it!
hugs, Elke
What a striking piece Elizabeth and thanks for the explanation of 'on the bubble'. Makes perfect sense when you explain it.
Good idea to have a man sitting on a bubble as if he is awaiting a decision to be made.
Love the background, it must have taken ages to punch out all those circles and then glue them into place. i would have ended with a cluster in one place or a gap that nothing fit. Not as easy as one might think to get it looking as good as you did.
Hugs, Neet xxx
well done
I did not know that phrase! Huh!
Te ha quedado genial. Muy creativo. Saludos desde España
Fabulous page! I love your design, you punched and arranged those bubbles beautifully and the colours are so vibrant and rich 😊. Happy and creative wishes! Hugs, Jo x
I didn't know this expression either, but it's perfect. I like your yellow bubbles and the gentleman sitting on them. Thanks for joining Mia's challenge. I'm still away, but am trying to keep up with AJJ so I don't end up overwhelmed when I get home. Hope you don't have any more hail and have a super Friday hugs-Erika
I'd not come across that phrase.
I like your page.
All the best Jan
On the bubble, that's brilliant. I love this page. It actually speaks to me. Thank you for joining FFO and have a lovely weekend.
cool background
I didn´t know this phrase, either. Great colors and composition! And what a sweet, serious face.
Thanks for explaining that to me. I didn't know that expression.
I love that TH doll. And the bubbles too. Simple but very effective.
Enjoy your weekend,
Lisca
I'm loving this Elizabeth. I just seem to have lost it with challenges and it's so much fun to join in, must try to get back to it again. Hope you're keeping well. Hugs Angela xXx
Interesting. I had never heard the term "on the bubble"

Lovely creation ~ like how the figure's feet are not touching the ground '` waiting to be accepted ~ thanks,

Hi Elizabeth, I must admit, I never heard the phrase "On the Bubble" before and am happy that I know what it means now! Your page is absolutely perfect for this title and for Mia's theme at AJJ, too! I love the colors you picked and the TH paper doll, too. Thanks for sharing this with all of us! Hugs, Sharon
