Mother and child

It's time to join Matilde from Craftowanie, our host this month at Art Journal Journey.  Her theme is People.

It's obvious, I named this Mother and child.  Detail shots are below.

I began by spraying two colors of spray mists through a purchased stencil onto 110 lb. cardstock.  When dry, I layered the icon I found in one of my books (which I copied and printed) under the cropped mother and child which started life as a card.  I added the postage stamp and finally the computer generated words.  Because there are multiple media, I am also joining Creative Artiste's 116th challenge, where the theme is always Anything Mixed Media Goes.

Bleubeard and I would love to see you today at both Creative Artiste and Art Journal Journey.

This makes such a cool journal page. I like that mosaic. It makes an interesting image. And I also like that page you printed. That would have made a cool background on its own. I hope you have a super Saturday. hugs-Erika

This is one of my favourite pages of yours. I love the stencil in the background and the various pieces you have used look so well.
You should use stencils like this a bit more, they look really good.

Elizabeth, your mixed media art journal page is stunning! I love all the details, from the stenciled background to the beautiful mother and child that started as a card, and even the computer-generated title. It’s all so beautifully put together. Thanks for sharing this with us and for encouraging us to join in on the fun too! Hugs, Sharon
