A little bird told me

I'm back today joining Neet (whose blog is Hickydorums) who is our host this month at Art Journal Journey.  By now you probably know her theme is It must have wings.  Coincidentally, Try it on Tuesday's new theme is Things with wings, so I will be joining them also.

A little bird told me is the name of this (hopefully) penultimate entry for Neet's theme.  I just hope my left hand will hold up.  Right now, it's in more pain than my hand with the burn.  Detail shots are below.

I started by painting the background with some leftover yellow paint I used on another project.  Waste not.  I added the brick stencil background which shifted a bit as I moved the brown ink on the page.  The fussy cut bird had been in my stash for ages.  I finally found a good home for it and the nest.  I computer generated the words, colored, then cut and adhered them to the page.

Thanks for dropping by today. Bleubeard and I are delighted you stopped by and hope to see you at Art Journal Journey and Try it on Tuesday.

It is swo gallant of you to enter my challenge like you have done with the pain you are in with your hands. Thank you Elizabeth.
Your page today is lovely. I like the yellow brick wall (I almost called it the yellow brick road lol) and your little bird and nest sit perfectly on it. Good choice of words too.
Hugs, Neet xxx

Oh I like this one. I like that stenciled brick wall, how you cut out the bird, and how you made the nest. What a super page. And sorry to read your other hand is so sore too. Hope that feels better soon. hugs-Erika

Oh, now BOTH hands hurt? I am so sorry....
And yet, you manage great artwork!!!
Can you send me the link to your tutorial how to do what you did with the bird? I only remember you take a newspaper or such, put on tape and water it? This was so long ago, I could not reproduce and you explained it so well.
Hope your hands heal, both is really no fun!!!!

A fantastic page and once again I am so pleased you joined us at TioT's.
I hope your painful hands are feeling better, this is something I can relate to as I also have hand issues. Take care of yourself.
