T Stands For More Cute Sayings On Mugs

A note for my U.S. participants, readers, and lurkers.  My foodie friend Sally had an appointment at 2 p.m. today and decided to stop by and vote before her appointment.  She said the line was around the building and was told it would be at least an hour and a half, perhaps longer before she could vote.  She decided to request a mail in ballot.

I'm not sure what to think of this, since we are a blood red state.  It's either the Red Wave that was predicted in 2022 that didn't happen, or it is a Blue Wave for once.  I will be voting on Wednesday before I visit The Spice Merchant for my pound of "free" coffee.  Please let me know how the lines are where you live.  And PLEASE VOTE.  Your future as a free person could depend on it!!  And let's get rid of the Electoral College, so my (and your) vote can truly count.

We are back at the Spice Merchant where I found a few more mugs that might make you smile.

I've shown you mine, now it's time to share your own drink related post.  It can be photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I will gladly visit, as will other T participants.  Please link only your T post and not your blog in general.  Bleubeard would like to remind you that old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year.

I'd be remiss if I failed to remind you it's time to dig up your Second on the 2nd.   The rules are quite simple.  You can use any post, any length, any genre, as long as it's been published sometime in the past.

We avoided the lines and already did our mail in ballot. Happy T Day. Did you see that I commented on your post with the Foxy t mug?

We don't have early voting in New Hampshire. You can vote absentee ballot, which means you need to go to the town/city hall or you need to send in a form requesting a ballot. My daughter is going to be away next week, so she had to do that. She said she had to sign a form saying she would not be around to vote on election day. I'll just go in on election day in the morning, but I live in a small town. Who knows how busy it will be then, but I suspect it will be busier in the evenign when most people get out of work. (The voting doesn't start until 8 am, which means a lot of people have already left for work.) Fun quotes on these mugs. Have a happy T day. hugs-Erika

Mugs are such fun and these are really cute ones! It will be curious to hear your voting results for the state with that line. I voted before England. Glad I did.

I voted absentee last week at City Hall. No waiting. I showed some photos in a blog post at that time. But today we waited in line for two hours to see/hear Harris and Walz IN PERSON at a big rally. No drinks in today’s post but you can see my Rally photos here:

Woohoo! You have been able to comment this morning!
I agree that it is very important that people vote. I am very interested in who wins the elections as it's important for people living in Europe that there is a stable person at the helm in the USA.
All the photos with Frankie have been taken with my phone. I don't know how she will react to a proper camera. I'm planning on trying today to get some photos with her and my neighbour's dog which is a Rottweiler. Should make for some interesting photos.
I never see Kate's cloud figures either. By the way, my Halloween cloud photo was from the net. I didn't photograph it.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

It seems to me that after every election there is talk of dismantling the electoral college system, but it never happens. I predict this time will be no different. Once the election is over I suspect that no one even gives it a moment’s thought - until the next time. It is truly a puzzle that a serial liar, convicted felon, misogynist, would-be dictator, foul-mouthed racist is in serious contention to become your next president. What does this say about the country?

My favorite: I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong 🎃Happy T Day

Fabulous mugs, like CJ I'm loving the one that says I would agree with you but we would both be wrong (smile!). Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x

@David: The electoral college is established by the constitution, and therefore change requires positive action by 2/3 of each house of congress and 3/4 of the state legislatures. No way would this happen in today’s political environment — too many interests at stake. Thus no sense even trying.

I've done a postal vote for years for this very reason and to avoid all those people trying to shove flyers in your face outside polling stations lol. Happy tea day!
