It's time for another year of ICADs, which stands for Index Card A Day. This will be my 12th year participating.
Day 1: ICAD 2024, 61 Cards, 61 Days. Glitter crayons, highlighters, black ink.
Day 2: Heartfelt. Envelope, fortune from cookie, tissue hearts, sentiment, black ink.
Day 3: Paint chip sample, sticker, black ink.
Day 4: Round and Round. Collaged background, top from thread spool, sentiment, black ink.
Day 5: On the road. Collaged background, image from my stash, sentiment, black ink, black dye ink.
I am once again joining Tammy at Daisy Yellow, but I am not on any of the social media sites where she shows her cards. Therefore, the only place you will find my ICADs is right here on this blog.

Nice! You have different prompts than I am using. In fact I am using two different lists--lol! I'm sure there are lots of ICAD prompt lists. I'll be showing whatever I get done on my blog on Monday. Like you, I am not on social media. :)

Your icads are great, once again. I think you must like working on this size, because you always have some clever index cards. I like the on the road one in particular, especially that cool photo of the blue convertible.
And I am going to respond to your comment on my post about the Civil War. Yes, slavery was the huge issue behind the war, as well as states rights versus national/federal laws. The war had been bubbling in a pot (so to speak) for many many years before it actually boiled over and happened. However, what really triggered the start of the war was those north versus south differences that caused southerners to fire on Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor. The fort was being held by the National/Union Army. The army surrendered. Then senators from southern states stopped attending in Washington. What caused the war to actually begin was when southern states started leaving the union after the firing on Fort Sumter.
Since I was writing for a world wide audience who may not even know that there was a civil war, I decided to simplify down the actual reason the war began. PLus, I didn't want the book post to be any longer than it actually was.
I will admit I am no expert on the war, but I did take a college class on it to fulfill a history elective. Now that was a long time ago, but funny when I visited the Fort Sumter Park in Charleston last spring, so many things came back to me.
Anyhow, sorry for the diversion about a comment, and I did enjoy your icads.
