Slipped

Today I had planned to have another spread for Halle from Halle’s Hobbies who is hosting this month at Art Journal Journey.  Her theme as you may know by now is I've got a notion.

I love this rubber stamp.  I've used it in the past with decent success.  However, it is quite large and the actual stamp area is about 4 X 5 in (10.16 X 12.7 cm).  This is a very old stamp and is by Imagination Stamp Company.  However,

as you can see, it slipped from my hand as I was stamping it.  I decided to use it anyway because it takes forever for the adhesive to dry after applying it to the dressmaker's tissue and the substrate.

That's why I decided to also show the actual stamp.  We will NOT be showing it at Art Journal Journey, though.  It is not up to the standard I expect from myself.  I am only showing it because I have nothing else to share today.

Bleubeard and I are still happy you dropped by and hope to see you this month at Art Journal Journey as you share your own interpretation of I've got a notionBleubeard refuses to take any credit for today's mistakes.

  1. What a gorgeous stamp. Thank you for keeping it real and showing us some things that haven't turned out as well as you hoped.

  7. I know what you mean by waiting for adhesive to dry. Lately I feel like I have to let it sit overnight. Too bad the stamp slipped, because it's a really cool image, and perfect for Halle's challenge.

  8. That is a beautiful stamp. Its hard to get a good image sometimes. I'm not the best stamper. I have heard that putting a thin piece of fun foam under the paper can help with the impression. I haven't tried this myself.
