Fleurs

I'm back today with another spread for Halle from Halle’s Hobbies who is our host this month at Art Journal Journey.  Her theme, as you may know by now is I've got a notion.

I call this Fleurs for obvious reasons.  I have detail shots below.

I originally planned to do a bit more with the background, but decided I would detract from the beauty of the flowers if I did.  Instead, I first sewed the colored paper to the background, then cut the image I found on the internet.  I glued it to a piece of red cardstock, then sewed the assembly to the background using variegated thread.  I have a Fleur de lis punch and used it to add three fleurs I colored red using a water soluble crayon.

Bleubeard and I are quite pleased you joined us today. We hope to also see you at Art Journal Journey and possibly share your own interpretation of I've got a notion.

  9. Beautiful.
Oh, my French is a bit slow these days.
At ALSTOM it was even not allowed to speak French with the customer, so on "Bonjour Iriiiis" I answered "Hello Damian" with pronunciation in English, LOL.
But I still have and love the book "Le Petit Prince"...
