I'm back today with another spread for Halle who is hosting this month at Art Journal Journey. Her theme as you know by now is I've got a notion. This will be my final entry this month.
For lack of a better term, I call this He sews. As always, I have detail shots.
This is a large piece: 8 1/2 X 11 inches, standard U.S. cardstock (also printer/copier paper). I fussy cut a portion of the treadle sewing machine, but realized my limitations, so quit while I was ahead. I used the TH paper doll thinking he went well with the sewing machine.Bleubeard and I are grateful you dropped by today and hope to see you at Art Journal Journey. We want to thank Halle for her hard work and hosting this month. I'm sure you can tell, I love this theme.

ReplyDeleteIf only he had pigtails it could have been me. I am sure I remember mum having a machine like this - a treadle. May be wrong but I seem to remember one.

ReplyDeleteSo many sewing machines in your creations and also those of other people. The old treadle machines and the tables made for them were really beautiful craft work. I learned to sew on one like that: a Singer machine, as I’ve no doubt said in response to previous posts.

That sewing machine is the right height for the little TH guy. I think he's waiting for someone to come along and stitch something for him though. I wonder what that might be. hugs-Erika
