Talk about collage fodder! There is everything here but the kitchen sink. While I was busy working on the hot peppers journal page, Bleubeard was riffling through many bits and pieces of collage fodder to create this entry for Art Journal Journey, which we are hosting this month. In case you didn't know, our themes are Collage Fodder, Food and Drink, or both.
He's so proud of it, he wants to share all the details.
One thing I can say about Bleubeard is, he has a keen eye for color. Granted, there are a few choices I wouldn't have made, but I like his sense of adventure. He even used a bit of twill tape he colored just for this entry. Scrapbook pages, painted papers, a photo negative, tea bag tag, washi tape, a tape transfer, a flag of Canada, a ticket, a fortune cookie fortune, foreign text, remains of hole reinforcers, cutouts, doodles made using gel pens, and a magazine image are part of what was used.
Bleubeard and I are overjoyed you visited today and hope to see you at Art Journal Journey with your own take on Collage Fodder, Food and Drink, or both.
We are also joining AEDM.
Wow. You didn't have room for the kitchen sink did you?

ReplyDeleteAll the little scraps with just a few words on them make very intriguing reading — what did they say? What kind of publication or document did they come from? All that possibility.

ReplyDeleteThis is such a clever interpretation of the theme! Of COURSE it's the fodder but I wouldn't have thought of adding in some very necessary things (like the brushes!)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you have been sick. Nothing like fall sick to really get a person down but hopefully it will be over before the holiday season kicks into full gear. Can't believe you've turned out this much art! And good art, too! Happy Thanksgiving week.
I was thrilled to at lat dee something done entirely by Bleubeard. What a guy! I love his sense of adventure in choosing random colours and not caring about whether you liked or not. Hurrah for Bleubeard, he has created a beautiful piece of collage and I LOVE IT
