Bleubeard has been ready to join Neet at Hickydorums, our host this month at Art Journal Journey with her Fur and/or Feathers theme since he heard about this month's theme. He keeps asking when he can join the furry theme. I told him I was saving the best till last. Truth be told, I only found these images a couple of days ago. They were the tiny "preview" type photos of each of the larger calendar pages.
Although I had trouble lining the images up once they had glue on them, my final journal page represents Cats. Lions, Tigers, and Bleubeard, oh my!
I started this page combining a turquoise Staz-on reinker to 91% isopropyl alcohol that I spread on the 110 lb cardstock. Once dry, which only took a few minutes, I cut all the images from the back of a calendar. I left one out so there would be room for my beloved Bleubeard.
As i mentioned, this is my final entry in September. Bleubeard and I would like to thank Neet for her incredible hosting ability this month, even though she was on holiday and often challenged to find a spot where she could upload her art and leave comments to all the participants. She did a far better job than I, that's for sure. Thank you for being such a caring and inspirational host, dear friend.
Bleubeard and I would like to thank you for joining Neet's theme this month. There's still time to join her great theme, Fur and/or Feathers, at Art Journal Journey.
Since there are so many faces, I am going to share this with Nicole's Friday Face Off. The last time I tried to visit participants, the link to FFO was missing. I DID let Nicole know, at least.
I do so love cats of all sizes. Lovely page! :)
ReplyDeleteI adore cats. All of them. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteAll are beautiful cats especially your Bluebeard.
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely cats! Neet has done a VERY good job this month, and I will miss her lovely theme! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteNice page. I especially like how you added the little house cat at the bottom. They sometimes think they are as big as some of those other cats are, don't they? We have bobcat around here which I have seen several times in the past year or so, but some of those other big cats scare me. Especially mountain lions. They are all sure beautiful though. This is a great way to end the month at AJJ. I bet BLeubeard is very happy with this page; and Squiggles too. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteYou had me at cats. I think all cats think they are "big" cats. Bleubeard is very handsome.
ReplyDeletegreat pics, fab way to finish off the challenge!
ReplyDeleteBleubeard has very nice taste in choosing photos of his fellow cats! I wonder if we would do as well with our close animal cousins.
ReplyDeletebest… mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Nice
ReplyDeleteOh I am so pleased/touched and a bit emotional to think that Bleubeard wanted to join in with the theme this month. Thank you my furry internet friend.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth I love how you have saved this until the end, it is lovely to see all these various cats and wonderful that you have named them for us.
Thank you for inviting me to be a host again, I have thoroughly enjoyed my month with you two and the other moderators, plus, obviously, seeing all the different posts from all the participants.
The month is not yet over and I will upload right to the end.
Hugs, Neet xxx
Well done! I love cats and had plenty of them.:)
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful. You always have such a cleaver art mind.
ReplyDelete'Lions, tigers and Bleubeard.' I love it.
ReplyDeleteWell, you know I'll enjoy this one. It never ceases to amaze me, Lizzie's distant cousins!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, what a great page! I bought a cat-calendar, too (Ingo was not fond of it, sadly) and it is "but cats" - cute, though, too!
ReplyDeleteHenry says hi to all of yours :-)
...Elizabeth you certainly have collected a bunch of cats. They sure come in so many shapes, sizes and colors!
ReplyDeleteI do love seeing all of these lovely cats. I wonder if you remember the TV show "Honey West" starring Anne Francis. She had two beautiful "big cats."
ReplyDeleteAren't they delightful!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these wonderful faces. Yes, I was having trouble with blogger and google grabbed all of my links and deleted them. Hope that doesn't happen again. Thank you for joining in with FFO.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great design and I love the little kitten, so adorable! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteYes, a beautiful face for the blog. What a regal presence!
ReplyDeletelol. a perfect post where I can say: Same, but different :) :)
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely cats :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Well, of course Bleubeard is the fairest of them all, not to diminish the splendor of the other cats, but merely to advance the handsomeness of Bleubeard. My handsome cat has aged and is struggling with life a bit, but still a wonderful companion. Good to see you, Elizabeth ...

What a beautiful post, Elizabeth! I love the big cats, especially snow leopards. Your portrait of Bluebeard is lovely. It's hard to see our beloved pets get older. Wishing Bleubeard a comfortable elderhood. Obviously he is well-loved. Have a good week! Take care!
