Spring flowers

As promised, these are the rest of the flowers

left over from Thursday's journal page (a portion of which is shown above).  They both honor Spring, which is Valerie's theme at Art Journal Journey.

I named this Spring flowers.  I have a few detail shots, too.

This journal page started as a sheet of 110 lb. cardstock I painted using blue watercolors.  I then used green watercolor on the strip of book page I adhered along the bottom of the page.  I fussy cut the flowers that were left over from the sheet of scrapbook paper I hadn't used in the previous spread.  The little blue flowers were cut and placed inside the red and yellow flowers. The leaves were cut from the background.  The stems were created from a green gel pen.  The sentiment was computer generated and colored using two dye ink pads.

Bleubeard and I are thrilled you dropped by today.  We also hope to see you at Art Journal Journey with your own interpretation of Spring.

p.s. sorry I haven't been around, my tablet has given up the ghost and it looks like I'll have to get a new one (eek!) so I've resorted to using my laptop for now which isn't as convenient.
