WOYWW 157: the aftermath

The Queen's Jubilee is over and so is the 3rd Anniversary of WOYWW.

What an aftermath! Many of you had trouble seeing the rocking horse I showed last week, so here it is removed from under my sewing machine and now in plain sight.

There's nothing on my desk or my sewing machine this week. My ATC is racing its way to Minxy in the UK. Of course I'm not going to show it until she gets it. This is from a scan where I used the "liquify" filter in Photoshop. Hope it makes sense once I show it when Minxy gets it.

Now let's hop over to Julia's Stamping Ground for the rest of the aftermath of this wild Wednesday blog hop. You'll be glad you did. And please don't forget your number when you visit!

  5. He's Christmasy and kind of Scandinavian looking at the same time. That liquifying thing is strange, but compelling. Have a good one! :)

  19. Hi Elizabeth, yep dead excited and even made another Jubilee spread in my AB yesterday. Thought I'd keep it for another post but have to say I was inspired by "your" background homework. Seems I need more stuff like that as this background stuff and paint is alien to me as a scrapper! - LOL. I did get into a right fix with the paint and got it on my last Jubilee page so had to re-do some of that aswell! Did get out some grease proof paper to put inbetween the pages to stop them sticking untill they are completely dry but still need to resort to baby powdering the pages - LOL. BJ#32

  28. Glad you enjoyed the Jubilee too - we've had a ball in the UK and rediscovered our patriotism, I think.. The splurgy red pic looks like something from the Space journey in 2001 - a Space Odyssey!! LOL

  37. Haha love the sneaky way of showing the ATC ;-)
BTW the tutorial of Christy's didn't actually include corrugated card it was just that she used texture paste and the Simon Says challenge was to use texture. The actual video I watched is this one http://christytomlinson.typepad.com/christytomlinson/2012/04/behind-the-art-video-april-mixed-media-kit.html (if you go to her website click on 'Tutorials' and scroll down to the post for April 26th).

  38. You're meaner than I am, and I thought I was mean. At least I showed a corner of my ATC! Of course, now you have a really cool ATC background, so maybe I'm just jealous!

    cheers,
    rachel #78

  39. And here was me thinking that was a REALLY cool background, wondering how you did that and would that be the technique for the next lesson in the Altered Book course instead of a 'sneaky peek' at an ATC ... lol...

    Thanks for sharing

  67. Hey! Thanks for stopping by! The Kings are the local hockey team. They play in the same building as the Lakers. The last time they made it this far was 1993 and they failed. This time they are on the brink of winning it all.
