London Tea

By the time this post hits the airways, the last of the Queen's Jubilee festivities will be winding down, or just a memory.

I have NO idea why I try to take these close up shots with this crazy, lousy camera I have, but I keep hoping at least one image will turn out OK, even though they never do. This is a tin of London Tea sent to me by the sweet Voodoo Vixen, who is in the process of moving once again. This tin shows (or is supposed to show) the London bus, those bright red buses you see on British TV shows.

I actually photographed this yesterday because I need to be out the door very early this morning to take my first day-trip of a planned stay-cation I'm hoping to take over the next two months. I hope Kimmie, keeper of the links will understand, because the car I'm driving doesn't have air conditioning, something very, very important in the hot and muggy mid-west.

Have a super Tea Tuesday. I'll visit all my tea friends as soon as I return tonight.

I wonder if you tried taking your photos above from further away and then crop your photo so that is shows more of the close up view you're after? just a thought

  4. Enjoy your tea. My camera refuses to focus close up sometimes and if I turn it off and turn it on again sometimes it will work. Might be worth a try. :)

  5. Most of us can't tell your shot is blurry without our glasses on anyway, everything is blurry. London festivities continue, quite the thing. Saw bits of Sir Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder on the news this a.m. Would be fun to be there. Enjoy. xox

  7. they use those tine to sell a fabulous English toffee.

i have a Canon Elph 310 it is incredible and if I can put my time and mind to learning all it does photography would be an obsession. It takes great closeups and long distance moving shots and has a video feature. it is my second Elph, lost the first one that appeared equally incredible though the 310 is quite exceptional for price and performance.

  9. Blurry or not, I like your little tin :)
I've just visited your past posts--wow! to that hail, I've never seen hailstones so huge, what a lot of damage-hopefully the little bird made it.
I was 6 in 1953, so my middle name isn't for the Queen, but for my two Grandmothers. I have a coronation 'plate' of my Mothers. I love the Royal family!
I love to see your art too :)
