April and May in my 12 month calendar

Another month has come and gone, and we are now 1/3 of the way through this year. I'm sure Kate at The Kathryn Wheel is pleased that so many of us are still hanging in there.

This was one very busy month for me, because I had a lot of birthdays I celebrated, including my own. And of course, the Easter Bunny visited, too.

After a ruthlessly dry and warm winter, April showers became the norm over many of these April days. I kept saying the phrase "April showers bring May flowers" over and over as I watched one flower after another bloom and fade even before May could arrive!

And when not celebrating one birthday or another, I was cleaning up my yard after a tornado, the rains, and other foul (not fowl) weather. So, between the birthdays, the rain, and the yard work, I didn't have a whole lot of ME time this month.

I worked on my May pages and finally have them ready to go. As always, I will decorate them when I have a better idea what the month will bring. Here's to an awesome May, everyone.

By the way, I hope you are enjoying New York and other US stops, Kate!

  6. Hi Elizabeth, I love the colours of April's pages and the spraying over stencils for May. It's nice to see a different layout; I keep thinking I'll do my 'days' differently but either can't decide what to do or forget, I did try bleaching out some squares a few months ago but it didn't work, I didn't get rid of enough colour.

  10. Hi Elizabeth, love your painted stenciled colorful backgrounds for April and May. I also really like your idea of only adding a few words. That's going to be a challenge for me for sure but I'd like to try it sometime.
