Tea from Annette and a wonderful giveaway

Before I prepare tea today, I want to point you to a giveaway: the type I appreciate, where there are no hoops to jump through, no photos needed to clutter your sidebar, no mandatory follower status. All you have to do is leave a comment on Marilyn Rock's blog post here for a chance to win a handmade mixed media art piece, along with some Aqua Markers. Of course, I hope you not only enter the giveaway (please tell her Bleubeard and Elizabeth sent you), but you also stay to check out Marilyn's awesome relatively new blog.

Now let's drink a little tea!!

My friend Annette (aka Voodoo Vixen) gifted me with some wonderful tea when she sent many goodies recently. This morning I opened the Twinings English Passport Teas

and chose English Breakfast Tea. Sadly, this tea is decaffeinated, so I won't be drinking it very long. Soon I will be off to enjoy something with caffeine punch to it! But I'm considering documenting another week of tea drinking like I did last autumn. I should have enough tea bags I can do this again. So hopefully, next Tuesday when I check in with Kimmie and friends, I will have seven days of tea drinking (and tea documentation) under my belt. Of course, I am also checking in with Kimmie THIS week, too!!

  1. Pretty textured teacup. I looked all over for my green placemats this morning. I finally decided that I must have gotten rid of them since they were the only set missing. The others were sadly, very wrinkled. No placemat for me.

  4. I'm with you on the decaffienated tea... go immediately to the proper stuff and make yourself a cup!! LOL I think I have figured out why the teabags over here and in the States have the string and little tag on them!! You leave them in the tea and serve them like that!! LOL.... this would not happen in the UK... people would think you were being really quite rude not actually making their tea... down to removing said teabag and adding the milk and sugar if required. I go places here and they offer me tea... then bring this HUGE mug with boiling water and teabag floating in it... I say Sir, that's just not BRITISH!! LOL

  6. I'm a tea drinker too - I don't mind de-fac, but full strength is more to my liking. Thanks for visiting my blog today. I don't know why you couldn't open my photo - I don't think anyone else had that problem...

  11. I love both English and Irish Breakfast tea - but caffeinated! my husband likes the decaf english breakfast at nighttime - but by then I'm just drinking sleepy time tea.

I like your emerald green placemat ... now you just need a little leprechaun to pop his head around your teacup :)

    happy Tuesday!
    xoxo, kimmie

  12. I drink coffee for breakfast but drink English Breakfast tea later in the day. Sometimes it is nice to have a little decaf on hand for late afternoons.
