I'm sure a few of you think I'm a bad host because I don't leave you a comment on your blog, even though I read each post. Unfortunately, it's because for some unknown (to me) reason, I am unable to leave comments to anyone, even on my own blog.
As many of you know, I love to travel. However, I do it purely through my art. This month we will visit France, a country located in Western Europe. Of course, we are here because we are hosting Art Journal Journey this month. Our theme is Anywhere, Anytime, Any Place, with Anyone.
When we hear the word "France," we usually immediately think Paris, the capital of France. However, as I have shown, there is more to France than just Paris. For example, there is Provence, a region in southeastern France. I started with a sheet of gray cardstock which I outlined in brown dye ink. I added three images of Paris and the Eiffel Tower which I found in two different travel brochures. I also added an image representing Provence. I computer generated the words and used the same brown dye ink to highlight them.

...thanks for taking me along.
ReplyDeleteParis looks so empty in these photos. But that's when it would be the best to be out and about in. This is a nice piece for your challenge at AJJ. :) Happy Friday. And I look forward to tomorrow's views of Marseilles. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteLovely photos
ReplyDeleteYes, Paris is lovely but a bit too busy and crowded nowadays. I will be there again in May. France, the country, is lovely. We used to travel through the length of the country to get to the Netherlands or a ferry to England. Especially the area along the Loire with all its chateaux is gorgeous. Unfortunately I am not keen on the French and of course the country is full of them....
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday,
Lisca
that would be a wonderful trip to make.
