Today I'm at Art Journal Journey joining our host Mia who can be found at Craftartista. Her theme this month is Make your own background.
I created the background from a piece of plastic I found in my stash that I dipped in coffee. This is one side,
and this is the other side. I stamped it at a 90 degree angle.
That is how I created this background using coffee and a "found" stamp. I also included a TH paper doll and a computer generated word I outlined in brown pigment ink.Bleubeard and I hope to see you and your handmade backgrounds soon at Art Journal Journey.

He looks stylish!
ReplyDelete...if I could start over again, I'd be an architect.
ReplyDeleteThis is great, Elizabeth! Love your “stamp”. And of course , if you aren’t drinking coffee, why not stamp with it? The architect theme works well with your created background .
ReplyDeleteThis is a cool background. I have something similar in my stash and when I saw yours I was trying to remember what it came from. :) And my Dad was an architect, but he never made anything like these circles. Grin. Hope your rain has stopped. hugs-Erika

ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting background. I hope you are feeling much better.
ReplyDeleteVery creative. Love the background.
ReplyDeleteVery, very cool idea! This came out great!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Thank you for adding a comment today - I added it to the post - such a positive view on it. We´ll have a test-emergency warning at 11:00 a.m. today - I thought it unfitting.... now I feel much better about it!
Oh I see now how you created this background - and very effective it is. I had no idea it was pure coffee you had used to begin with, so many colurs can be seen in it. The TH doll is perfect and all that is needed,
