T Stands For A Return To The Beacon

My apologies.  I thought I had published this and was shocked when I saw it still in draft.

Today we are heading back to the Beacon.  I finally decided to share the first time my foodie friend Sally and I went there just before Halloween last year.

This is the lunch/dinner menu from last October.   As an aside, I got the fish and chips and Sally got the catfish filet.

That time I remembered to get at least a partial photo of the breakfast menu.  This was before eggs were more expensive than gold!

While waiting for our meals, I took a few photos of the decorations and pictures.

The mugs hidden behind the wall are one reference to a drink today.

It was now time to eat.  I had vegetable soup and Sally had a salad.  I'm not sure where our water glasses are, but they are off camera.

Here are my fish and chips I almost forgot to photograph.  Note I am not eating the green beans because they have bacon throughout.  You can see my water with lemon, too.

Sally had the baked fish and a baked potato which wasn't offered the second time we went.  However, they didn't offer rolls, but Texas toast was the bread serving.

While there, I ate most of the french fries and took two pieces of fish home.

I've shown you mine, now it's time to share your own drink related post.  It can be photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, books, sketches, mixed media, drawings, paintings, tags, scrapbooking, or other art that is digital, hybrid, or traditional, as long as it in some way relates back to a drink, any drink.  Regardless, please share below and Bleubeard and I will gladly visit, as will other T participants.  Please link only your T post and not your blog in general.  Bleubeard would like to remind you that old photos are acceptable because they may be taken any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year.  Please remember to visit your fellow T participants.

It's now time to dig up your Second on the 2nd. Any genre, any style, any length, as long as it has been published sometime in the past.

One other thing.  I will be participating in ICADs again this year.  61 cards, 61 days.  One card a day.  No competition, no judging.  Just cards and fun.  This will be my 13th year.  I hope a few of you will join me.  It's no fun playing alone.

The food at the Beacon Restaurant looks delicious, and the decor with the lighthouse murals looks very welcoming.

  8. Someone at the restaurant likes lighthouses. I do, too. They make me think of trips to York and Ogunquit, Maine. Fish and chips look good. Happy T Day

  9. I'm glad you noticed this post wasn't up. That was a nice sneak in for T with the mugs too. And I like the lighthouse that says New England above it. I don't know what one or where it is though. Your fish and chips looks delicious. I can see why you went back there, and why you ended up taking 2 pieces of fish home. That's a huge servings. Happy T day. hugs-Erika

  10. Interesting lighthouse theme, I had a look at the menu and was about to say that I would starve there but then I looked it up and it says they serve vegan dishes! Did you give the extra fish to the kitties? I had a cat who used to love the fish inside the batter, she didn't want the batter, just the contents. Happy T Day!

  12. What wonderful ambience and the food looks yummy.
One of my grumbles is when they put meat in the veggies.
Have a grand day, dear Elizabeth.
