I have another page for Valerie, our host this month at Art Journal Journey. Her theme is Anything Goes.
I named this Sand between my toes.
I have a few detail shots to share.
Unfortunately, my new scanner doesn't seem to have as much depth as my previous scanner. That's when I decided to photograph the page, which was an even worse disaster since the lighting was quite poor.
This page started with a polka dot background to which I added six images taken from various cruise magazines advertising the Caribbean. I added dye ink around each image before gluing them to the page. Finally, I added the feet that were actually paperclips. Thanks for dropping by today to share a bit of time with Bleubeard and
me. We are eternally grateful. We also hope to see you at Art Journal Journey with your Anything Goes journal entry.

Those paper clips are hysterical! LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, wish I was there, it´s again so cold here!
ReplyDeleteCute clips, too.
I have a cheap, portable daylight lamp, works pretty well. Anyway sad with the new scanner!
Ingo´s isn´t the best, either (but has as excuse it´s old) - I use Photostudio for better brightness and contrast as next step. One click, done. Old program but for free.
Good morning Elizabeth.Love your new page, so pretty, I think I have ice between my toes - well, it feels like that- warm sand would be better. Have a great day, take care, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at your comment on my page about posting too early before it was finished, that has happened to me, too! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThis page is a sight for sore eyes. I woke up this morning to a foot of new snow, added to what was left(grumble). Those are the cutest little feet paperclips too. And seeing some flamingos on the beach would be fun also. I need to go out and shake the snow off the bird feeders for the birds, but I wish I had a plastic pink flamingo to stick out in the yard for fun. Smile. I hope you're having some spring weather and have a great Wednesday. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWe had a low last night of 29, so sand between my toes is definitely an attractive idea. I can feel that warmth just looking at your art :)
ReplyDeleteI love visiting flamingos, wherever they are, including Caribbean lagoons. Such funny-looking birds! But they fly impressively.
ReplyDeletebest... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
How perfect are those paperclips??!!!! Great page Elizabeth! I hope to have some sand between my toes in about a month!!! Road Trip! Finally!!!! Cross your fingers! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteI would rather have the sand between my toes than snow. I love the paperclips.
ReplyDeleteLovely page
ReplyDeleteYour page warmed me up. I closed my eyes for a few seconds and imagined I was on that lovely beach with the sand between my toes. Cannot wait for the better weather to arrive. I love Spring but preferably a little warmer than it is now. Guess it could still be classed as winter so maybe I am ahead of myself.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed making the page as much as I enjoyed viewing it.
Hugs to all
