Please join me at my dining room table for a very quick post.
To be honest, I forgot today was Monday and time to create a T Tuesday post. Like some, I spent most of early morning until shortly after noon my time, watching the Queen's funeral. The words pomp and ceremony could not have been more clear and appropriate.
The schedule and map of the Autumn and Art event sits under this bottle of water I received free at the fair. When I received it, it was icy cold. I made the mistake of leaving it in my swag bag, causing every paper to buckle from the sweat from the bottle. You can see I didn't drink it all and now it has bubbles from when I got it on Saturday.
This is a photo of the map. Not as many booths as I originally thought. And of course, I actually saw more than I thought I had.
The water I got at the fair is my entry to T this week. Now please share your own drink related post. It can be
gifts you received, photos, a place you visited, movies, postcards, mail
art, junk mail, catalogs, books, sketches, mixed
media, drawings, paintings, handmade cards, tags, scrapbooking, or other
art that is
digital, hybrid, or traditional, a favorite mug, cup and saucer, teapot,
coffee pot, or even a wine glass. Regardless, please join us by linking
below. Bleubeard and I will gladly visit, as will other T
participants. Please link only your T post and not your
blog in general. Bleubeard would like to remind you that old
photos are acceptable because they may be taken
any time, not just on Tuesday and not just this year. Please remember to visit your
fellow T participants.
Don't forget, to let us know if you got the red cocktail napkin, please. I finished just in time. Now I'm going to take a very much needed nap.
Autumn & Art is such a lovely title. It makes me want to go there and look at all the wonderful art. I bet you had a great time there. I see that they have a very diverse selection there which is something I always like. Happt T day, Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteI imagined that you would be watching the TV coverage of the Queen’s funeral this morning. That is what I did also, though I did not make an effort to get up extra early. The ceremonial clothing of all the participants (including the ones who seem to be in normal dress, not symbolic dress) is especially fascinating. I feel sorry for the people of Britain who now have to go back to dealing with a lot of national problems.
ReplyDeleteThank you for continuing to organize people so that they communicate with eachother via blogs. I gave a shout-out to a few of them on my post today.

Too bad your Autumn and Art brochure is buckled. From what I can see in your photos it looks like a fabulous art show. I can't wait to see more photos. And water is always a good drink or T day. I hope you have a super T day and evening tonight. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI am catching up on the Queen's funeral, better to see the highlights.
ReplyDeleteYes, even I have watched part of the queen's funeral. I saw the committal. I thought the service in the chapel was simple but beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA little bit of pomp and circumstance is fine with me every once in a while. On this occasion it was to be expected. I admired the young men who carried the coffin. I wonder how often they had practiced that! For all the people involved I'm so glad the weather was good. It can rain in England...
Your Autumn and Art leaflet looks interesting. Are we going to see more photos?
You made me smile having forgotten it was time to write a blog. I sometimes too forget what day it is. I'm glad you managed a quick something and I hope we will soon see more.
Thank you (and Sharon) for what you did with the napkin exchange. I love them all.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
Happy T day. I would have loved to have seen that art.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many cool places to go where you live. Thanks for sharing the info. Have a lovely day today too.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, I can't believe you went to the fair in this heat! We did not! I am so glad you shared since I didn't go. I didn't know they had art like that there. Last time we went, over 5 years ago, we saw a quilt exhibit that I loved. We did a lot of fun things. My hubby just can't take that walking. Oh, well. Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteThe art fair looked quite interesting from what I saw on your previous post. I can't imaging staying out too long in the heat. Once there though it would be easy to want to see just one more booth.
ReplyDeleteI got up early for the funeral and then I watched it again and highlights tonight. I was mesmerized. No one does ceremony better than the Brits and I was mesmerized.
ReplyDeleteVery well done map! Oh, it all sounds tempting, too. And nice they gave out cold water for free - here we´re back to hot tea, Ingo even turned on the heating...
ReplyDeleteHappy T day
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day! Sorry, not joining in this week, I was also very Ill at the weekend and got nothing done. I'm just happy my TIOT post was ready in advance or I wouldn't have got that done either. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteSounds like there was a great variety of art mediums at the fair. I would love it if we had craft fairs like that around here but I would have to travel as we live in a small area. That is nice that you were given a free water. So many places mark up bottled water.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day.
Kate
I love these arts and crafts fairs that seem so common in the Autumn.
ReplyDeleteI watched the Queen's coverage, too. History unfolding.
I don't think I've seen an art fair with a printed map. That must be some event to attend. Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteHello Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteI think it's nice that YOUR this week's entry to T has to do with a bottle that you received at an art fair. This goes well with MY today's entry - because these are bottles transformed into art :-)
Autumn and Art really sounds like a good event.
All the best,
Traude

Glad you got to see the coverage of Queen's funeral, it was a very historic day full of emotion and celebration. How lovely to go to an Autumn craft and arts fair, the various types of art look wonderful, it must have been so interesting 😊. Happy T Tuesday! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteThe Autumn and Art fair looks interesting - that would be a dangerous place for me - hard to resist! There seems to be something wrong with the title of your previous post, I thought it was part of this one at first as it is just normal size text. By all means make an Alice in Wonderland page, I'd like to see it. You asked about the money and the stamps, Charles will appear on both from now on as long as he is King, there is no choice. The current money will remain in circulation but will be eventually replaced by the new notes. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
ReplyDeleteHow fun to go to an Art Fair, Elizabeth. I need to see if we have anything like that around here. Looks like lots of interesting art was there. I got to go to a coin fair with my husband. Not being interested in coins, it took me less than 10 minutes to go through it. I then sat on a bench off in a corner and read a book while my husband took 2 hours to go through it. I didn't feel bad when I made him wait 40 minutes while I went in a used bookstore. LOL.
ReplyDeleteCold drinks can be a problem if put in bags and suitcases - I have had that problem before as well.
Happy T-day and many hugz!
Whoops ! Missed T this week i'm afraid.. Last week i managed to play golf AND visit T party but not this week... Tuesday Golf is coming to an end soon though as it gets darker earlier and earlier.. they won't be able to fit it in.. So fear not i will be more consistant with T ...lol Hmmm... I don't see where anyone chimed in that they had a red napkin.. Do you think perhaps mine is the red napkin.. I showed a pic of all my napkins on a post and you can see i have a red one with Fiesta on it could that be the one your looking for? Hugs! deb
