T Stands For Final Time at DeFazio's

Before we begin, if your Second on the 2nd and your T Tuesday post are the same, please link both places.

And this was the last time we were at DeFazio's.  They stayed open during Covid, but reduced their menu to what was on the front and back of the laminated sheet we were given (shown in photo).  No lunch menu and no specials.  Sadly, they went out of business this spring.  You can see Sally and I are both drinking water with lemon.

Now it's your turn to provide us with a drink inspired entry.  The only requirement to join is you must include a drink or a reference to a drink, teapot, mug, etc.

Here is where you link if you are playing in T Stands For Tuesday, or if your T post is different from your Second Look.

  4. It's sad when a place closes where you liked to go to. I hope you and Sally will find another place that you feel you want to support.

  5. It's always sad when that happens. Luckily around here none of the restaurants we know have gone out of business. Most are family run and rely on local clientele rather than tourists or people passing through.
I hope you'll find another Italian restaurant that you and Sally both like.
    Keep smiling,
    Hugs,
    Lisca

  6. It's sad to have a favorite place disappear. Especially restaurants because they aren't replaceable, aren't they? It's too bad they managed to make it through covid, but I imagine it must have slowly eaten away at their business. Happy T day. I hope your month has started off well, and it's not too hot right now. Hugs-Erika

  7. It is so disappointing when a restaurant we enjoy goes out of business. Places are struggling everywhere unfortunately. I hope you are able to find a new place to enjoy.
    Happy Tea Day,

  12. Very sad. Just one more who didn´t make it and according to your friend´s smile it was a great place, too.
It´s the same here, too. So many closed down due to COVID. One wants to cry.
Where do these people work now, how do they make a living? How depressed must they be.
At least we have these memories and life will get better, I am sure - happy T-Day, dear host.

  14. So many restaurants and retail have gone out of business here too because of the pandemic. Also businesses can't find employees.

  15. The pandemic was the death of many a business :( I'm sad for the ones we've lost but so grateful for the local restaurants that managed to make a go of it.

    Happy T Tuesday!

  17. A shame the restaurant went out of business.
I always think a nice glass of water with a slice of lemon is so refreshing.
