Monday Murals: Speak Life

It's Sunday, which means it's time once again to join Sami at Sami's Colourful World and her Monday Murals.  Even though it's still Sunday in my world, please be aware that Sami's mural link goes live at 10:01 a.m. my time today.

Today I'm downtown, sharing one of the best known and first murals created in Wichita, Kansas (USA).

Because there are always vehicles around the Donut Whole, the doughnut and coffee shop where this mural is located,

I had trouble showing the entire mural.

This was the best I could do because I couldn't ask people to move their cars so I could take a photo.  This mural is located at 1720 West Douglas in Wichita, Kansas (USA).

This week, I decided to leave the north end and their murals which are decidedly Hispanic and Asian to venture downtown.  And for those who thought it, NO, we do NOT have any meat packing or food processing plants here.  They are located in western Kansas.

If you enjoy murals from around the world, please don't forget to visit Monday Murals at Sami's Colourful World.

  5. Interesting mural! I have seen astounding murals lately on railroad tank and boxcars, and our city has been adding murals like crazy during COVID.

  11. Nice mural Elizabeth. It is a pity when murals are blocked by parked cars but nothing that can be done about it.
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals.
