Wednesday wonders: rust

I'm not sure why I haven't picked this theme sooner, because it is one of my favorites (along with rocking horses, of course).  I was drawn to this because of the rusty machines my friend Valerie showed on her blog recently, as well as the rusty boat parts Erika showed on Sunday, and of course, my altered book pages of rust I made and shared on my blog not long ago.  All photos are from Pexels.

And now the Queen of Free would like to add another crown:

this one made of rust.

I'm delighted that you joined me today, as I looked to Valerie's and Erika's rusty photos and my art for inspiration to share this Wednesday.  Thanks again for joining me and please keep those ideas (and inspirations) coming on your own blogs.

  1. Lovely rust, it always makes my heart beat faster. When I'm feeling better I'm going to visit that rusty park in Duisburg again, that will be fun! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie

  5. These rusty things rather sad. Items (like the skates) or places (like the stairs to the beach) patiently waiting for someone to return. I've never thought about rust that way.

  6. Elizabeth, this is a perfect theme for you. I have a love-hate with rust. Sometimes I find it very beautiful, sometimes rather lonely and neglected. I see both in some of your photos. Very evocative and striking.

  7. Old rusted bits make the best photos. They pick up the shadows and the light so well. Nice picking for today! Pexels has some great photos to use. Hugs-Erika
