See the U.S.A.

Although Bleubeard and I are hosting Art Journal Journey, where my theme is Summertime Love, I'm also joining Try it on Tuesday, where their theme this fortnight is tags.  No step out photos today because I think you can read the sentiment.  And I'm quite certain you can see the tag I included, too.  I think you can see how the tag fit with my travel theme.

The color didn't exactly look right in the above scan, so I tried to color correct it in Photoshop.  I think I made it worse!

Materials used include a map of my city, a gifted tag, a fussy cut Chevrolet from an old National Geographic, and computer generated text on colored printer/copier paper.  The sentiment reads "Let's take a trip this summer!" and "We can see the USA in our Chevrolet."  I added the holes so the page will fit in my 3-hole binder after I scanned the page.

Bleubeard and I are delighted you joined us today where we decided to take a summertime trip.  Please also join us at Art Journal Journey where the theme this month is Summertime Love

and at Try it on Tuesday, where their theme this fortnight is tags.  I hope to see you both places.

  8. "We 3 Kings" made me giggle. They look like cherry tomatoes. I admire your perseverance, Elizabeth. That's quite a collection of ICADs!

  10. I love your use of maps as part of the art journal journey theme. Drive 55. I wish we still did. They raised the speed limit in Michigan to 75 on the highways -- which means that everyone is going 85 or 90 and it just feels scary! Enforcement isn't this state's strong suit...
