The latest
Craft Barn alpha/dictionary letter is C. Thankfully there were no twists, because I fluctuated back and forth among several words, all of which dealt with a drink. I first thought of caffeine, then coffee,

when I finally decided on the word "Cup."

I knew I had a way to illustrate cups, so that's what I went for.

Here's my American Heritage Dictionary's definition of a cup.

I knew as soon as I made the first black mark that I had made a mistake. But it was too late to stop, so I outlined one stack, but not the rest.

I began by painting a sheet of deli paper with lavender and lime green paint. After it was dry, I adhered it to the book page with white PVA glue. I cut a napkin in pieces and glued the top (decorated) sheet only to the deli paper using a glue stick. I added a large gifted dimensional C and the required definition to the center of the page.
I was back on track with our previous entry and was able to visit everyone again. I was unable to leave comments on Facebook, because I'm not a member and will probably never be.
Thanks for joining me for this latest
Craft Barn challenge, and thanks for your continued support of my art.
This is lovely, and cups that hold coffee and liberal supplies of caffeine are really a good choice for the challenge! If you adhere the napkins with mod-podge or binder you can usually use ink over them without it seeping into the tissue. Have a lovely day! Hugs, Valerie
