Journal 52, Week 6: Windows

For Week 6 of Journal 52, Chelle's prompt for us was windows.

I got out my acrylic paints and created a background on my used file folder.  I added a picture from (of all places) leftover Christmas wrapping paper, along with photo corners I found when I was rearranging a few things.

I added the week number on the mailbox, but got it a bit too high for realism.

For the window, I started with a picture from a magazine, then placed a bit of lace over the picture.  Next, I added the ribbon to signify a window.  Unfortunately the glue was not dry when I scanned the picture.  So much for hurrying.

In case you can't read the sentiment:
She pushed back the curtain to take in the beauty of the view outside her window.
Thanks for dropping by this week to see my take on windows.  I also want to give a BIG thanks to Chelle for making these prompts something I can actually create with products I have.  And of course, I want to thank all of you for visiting, too.

  1. Love the way you have done this E, the ribbon window with the netting stuff is brilliant... brushing aside the cobwebs of sleep to view the day... good one!
