December, 2014 and January, 2015, as well as a look back on 2014

It's time once again to join Kate at The Kathryn Wheel to show my monthly calendar. But first, let me take you through the year in review.

I bought a new journal for 2014 and 2015, but it was not exactly the right size.  I've been hampered by the size this entire year, but I refuse to buy another one until this one is filled in 2015.

February was all about the below zero temps.

I hoped spring was truly on the way.

April was all about birthdays, including mine.

We gathered round the Maypole this month.

Summer was here long before the calendar made it official.

July was all about Patriotism, ICADs, and Summer of Color.

Five Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays didn't leave much room for decorations.  Poor Bleubeard was more than a little miffed at me for using his signature stamp to represent the dog days of summer.

Joined two new challenges in September: Moo Mania and More, and Altered Playing Cards.

Minutia, but not much else in October.

Every day in November was about Art Every Day Month (AEDM).

It's now time to show my December, 2014 calendar page,

and my drab, unadorned January, 2015 page.  As always, I'll decorate as I go, but I'm scaling back on everything but the bare bones to begin each page this year.  I admire all those awesome calendar pages I see, but I am just not a stamper, so I'm looking for alternative ways to decorate the pages each month in 2015.

Thanks as always for looking, because I truly appreciate your generous comments.

  4. You'll have to show us what the January one looks like all decorated. I like that it has the month before and after in the corner. :)

  5. What a great look at the year for you and Bluebeard.
I'm contemplating doing this for 2015...not sure yet.
I did join a 12 month journal group, a page a month with prompts, if you want to use them. I have my journal made, just need to decorate it.......before the challenge begins LOL!

Time to say Happy New Year as the clock is ticking away the last few hours of 2014!

  6. It must be fun for you to look back and recall each month. The pages look fully decorated, you've been busy.

  7. Your calendar pages are somewhat like a "journal" of what you were up to highlights note.

  9. Wow, your 2014 review looks awesome! I'm so, so happy that you are still doing this challenge. Can't believe it's 5 years! I'm sorry about the lack of link on my blog (left you a reply over there) but we can still follow you here from your comment :-)

Your thoughts are very important to Bleubeard and me. I appreciate it when you care enough to stop by and even more when you leave a short message letting me know you were here.

I don't want to ever turn on comment moderation, so when I find comments that don't relate to my blog content, your comment will immediately be deleted.
