Craft Barn's 20th challenge: Destiny and Gift

For this fortnight, Craft Barn's 20th Lyrics and Quotes challenge asks us to use the words Destiny and/or Gift.

After finding a quote I knew I had artwork for, I used the word GIFT.

In case you had trouble reading red on red, it reads "It isn't the size of the gift that matters,

but the size of the heart

that gives it."  The quote is attributed to Eileen Elias Freeman.

Materials used include a used file folder, scrunched tissue paper, red printer paper, a book page cut to size. and a very old stencil.

As always I appreciate your wonderful comments.  I also visited everyone again this time, but cannot leave comments to those on Facebook, Flickr, and Fiona.  A few of you may have noticed I was quite late visiting, because real life managed to get in the way of computer time.

  9. Hello Elizabeth, I love this quote! Great red paper and heart, looks perfect for this quote. The squished up tissue paper is so fun to see!

Hope you've had a good week. The weather finally got cold enough here and I had to turn the heat on a bit yesterday. Feeling warmer already this morning so won't need it on again thank goodness.
My T time post is up and I will be back either later tonight or first thing in morning to link it up. So glad I could be here this week. Fingers crossed it will turn back on for me later, lol.

Take care and have a great Monday!

Thanks for your lovely comment on my Da Vinci page. The stamp set is from Stamp Addicts, I found it on ebay. I think it would make a lovely xmas present for your friend. I haven't been to a stamp show for quite some while, so I think it's not me on the photo :)

  21. You illustrated this quote just perfectly! I really like the gift in the heart, and the quote is so true.

Thanks for letting me know the egg arrived without breaking (couldn't resist that one!). These Monday holidays really throw me off and I am behind in everything! I still have to get to inner space, my APCs, and that mixed media body challenge has me still stumped!
