T Stands for Day 30 of 30 paintings in 30 days

T today celebrates a milestone.  I painted 30 abstracts in 30 days  Some I like better than others, some I thought were horrible.  But I appreciated the experience and I appreciate that so many of you have stood by me and encouraged me.  Later tonight I'll link for the final time to Leslie Saeta at Slices of Life.  But for now, lets join the T party.  So I don't get too giddy celebrating and forget, the size of this final painting is 7" X 7" (17,78  cm X 17,78 cm).

To celebrate the final day, I wanted this to be the capital letter Omega, the final letter in the Greek alphabet.  But when I lifted it up, without thinking to blot it, the India ink, which I am certainly not used to, ran all over the place.

Since Omega denotes the final, the end, the last, and the limit to a set in mathematics, I thought this would be a good way to end this challenge.  However, now it looks more like an empty cup that has been turned upside down to denote the drinker has finished and doesn't want a refill.  So, in that respect, I guess that is also an appropriate painting for this final day of 30 paintings.

What is appropriate in your world this week?  Is it painting, sketching, drawing, scrapbooking, art journaling, or have you been out and about to a museum, art fair, or even an Oktoberfest event?  Regardless, let us know by linking below so we can drop by and visit.  As always, Bleubeard is here to remind you that photos don't need to be taken on Tuesday, but any day you choose, as long as they apply, in some way, to some type of drink.

  8. If you look hard, you will see that this is a perfect Omega. Do you see the inky man kneeling on the left, creating the left arm of the omega with his feet? His hair is the brush that completes the symbol. Perfect end to this series!

    Happy T Day!

  11. I too saw the cup as upside down in the painting. Love the symbolic meaning you found to paint this.
Have a great week and I hope we can relax a little now with the close of this challenge-:)

  13. You made it all the way through! Oh congrats at sticking with it. I love being low on the comment list so I can read what everybody else saw in you paintings. It is very interesting what each eye sees. My first impression (since you know I'm NOT mathematical) was a tiny bird chirping for a worm. BUT I love the idea of the Omega symbol you made and what else YOU saw in the painting, both signifying the END! Perfect!

    Happy T-day

  16. A very drippy omega--LOL! I love the colors you used in the background and, since it was abstract, I didn't think anything of the wild black blob at all. I thought you did that on purpose--LOL! ;)
    Happy T-Day! :)

  20. Congratulations on finishing 30 paintings, Elizabeth! That's truly a great achievement.

I just wanted to pop by and say a quick hi to everyone. I cannot believe that I did not do any T posts this month. I've written several in my head...just have to find time to sit down at the computer and write them in real life. Not today, alas. I'm battling my second cold of September. I'll have to save all those good ideas for October.
