Day 22 of 30 paintings in 30 days

I'm linking to Leslie Saeta at Slices of Life, this time with my Day 22 painting.

Once again, I got out my watercolors (and watercolor paper), but this time I tried to manipulate the drips and dribbles.  I was going for an "E," but the top of the E got away from me, and I ended up with something that looked nothing like an E.  For lack of a better name, I'm calling this one "The Botched E Caper."  The size is 8" X 10" (20,32 cm X 25,4 cm).

As always, I'm grateful when you stop by and love it when you leave a comment.

  1. Well I think it's an abstract E - in abstract art things don't need to look the way they usualy do (in fact they shouldn't or it wouldn't be abstract)!

I saw what I'm sure is Bleubeard's doppelganger this morning as I was going out to get in the car. I was going to take his picture for you but he saw a dog and sauntered off before I could get my phone out. I'm sure they must be long lost cousins!

  3. Dear, Elizabeth,
I just wanted to say thank you for the nice comment that you left on my blog. It's always wonderful to hear from you. I’ve missed you lately!
I couldn't reply to your comment, because you are a no-reply blogger and I couldn't find an email address.
This means, I’m not able to reply on your comment. At least not directly. That's a pity.

Lovely painting! I like your abstract approach.

    Have a wonderful week!

  4. You've been so busy, whew! I did go back through all the art I missed and enjoyed it all. No, I'm not ready at all for Christmas but it never hurts to have a nudge in that direction.

  6. I really like this Elizabeth. The vibrancy of the E is very cool, to me. I love the name you gave this piece too, quite amusing :D x

  7. It still looks like an E to me, so no worries on that front! Just been checking back to see all the stuff I have been missing whilst I am not playing... kitchen will be finished this week then I can start unpacking the kitchen boxes and begin to get control of my life back with a bit of luck!!
