Day 15 of 30 paintings in 30 days

It's now day 15 of 30 paintings in 30 days and time to link to Leslie Saeta at Slices of Life.

I call this one "Swimming with the Big Fish."  It is acrylic and 8 inch X 8 inch (20,32 cm X 20,32 cm).   I used cool, calming colors, then created motion and a bit of dissonance one would feel if they were truly swimming with fish much bigger than they were.

Thanks for your continued support of this project.  Although I've retired my fan brush, I'm still painting up a storm each day.  And I'm doing it because of your kind and generous comments that keep me going.

  1. I can see you are settling into this now Elizabeth - I just adore this! The colours and the way they seem to move is simply wonderful! Halfway there now - so a pat on the back for that! Big cyber hugs, Chrisx

  6. Love this one , Elizabeth! We went whale watching in Maine a few weeks ago and saw several groups of porpoises...this is very evocative of them moving through the waves.

  7. Your comment on my blog had me laughing this morning. No body cast!

I am really enjoying your paintings.....no really I am! I sit and watch it slowly down load and see I can but a name to it as close as to what you've named it.
I was pretty darn close today!!!

I really like the movement in this one, can taste the salty air on my lips. Very well done.
