I love this piece with all this clever assembled papers and stitches a " homemade summer" -
-comes right up to my soul today because I really hope summer will return..today there was such a coldness and rain here like late autumn-- but they promised that summer will come again the next days....

ReplyDeleteI love this! The wonky sewing suits it perfectly, and I love the variety of stitches. I have yet to see a meteor shower. Either I forget, or they are obscured by street light, moonlight or a thick layer of clouds lol.
ReplyDeleteI L.O.V.E. .. Love this, E.. Just brilliant .. Wonderful collection of papers, feeling and stitching ties. It all together! Seriously good work..
ReplyDeleteThis is really fun Elizabeth - another challenge I had no idea existed... I am still knee deep in Yellow Daisies (haha) so I will probably have to pass. I like your piece though! Do you have flowers called "shooting stars" in Kansas? I have no idea if that's their real name but we have them here and I remember them growing wild at my grandma's place as I girl (along with many other wonderul things). I think there were more Spring thatn Summer though.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful piece

Love the poem and image...nice to see you back at the sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteThis page has a very nostalgic look with the country store image and the fun poem. You really captured Summer with the background colors!
ReplyDeleteI came across an advertisement for watches--a whole booklet. They are quite large & I was wondering if you would be interested in it for your Time AB. I didn't want to send them "unsolicited" and add to your recycle pile. Just let me know!
