Tea Tuesday meets What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW)

I realize this is early, but today I'm combining WOYWW with Tea Tuesday.  I'm also involved in another blog hop later today and tomorrow, so wanted to get this posted on time.

I found this awesome magazine image of an Oriental tea pot and two lovely traditional handle-less tea cups.  I plan to cut the image out and use the tea stained dictionary page

as my background.  The lovely now-empty tea bags will be added for interest.  I'll show the completed piece sometime later this week.

Those of you coming from Julia's Stamping Ground to visit during WOYWW, probably came to see the rocking horse more than anything else.  As always, please leave your number so I can find you quickly and easily.

Those of you interested in joining me for tea today, please leave your link.  We'll drop by (possibly unannounced) for tea, coffee, art, a garden tour, or whatever you want to talk about and drink.  BTW, since I'm in my craft room, I have a full cup of coffee in that big ugly, stained mug that has a great lid that keeps all the coffee goodness in, and the paint and glue out.

  1. Happy Tuesday! I especially like the shape of the tail on this week's rocking horse and the blue bow of course.

Like the pieces you are using for your art - anxious to see what you do with them.

  6. Well, I brought my coffee with me to take an early snoop, but did keep it off your desk so no glue or ink would slip into it, or leave any cup rings on your project Like where you are going with this and look forward to seeing the finished piece. Ofourse I have no WOYWW # yet, still Tues. AM, but you know where I am. Have fun with the blog hop!

  13. Ahhh tea! I know the Chinese invented it, but I still like English high tea best - lil cucumber sandwiches, scones, fairycakes, and the never-ending teapot :)
Happy WOYWW and have a wonderful week :)

  14. The lid of the mug stops you dipping your painty brush into the wrong pot too! Oh yes, I have done that before.....painty tea, mmmmm, lovely :-P
I enjoyed following your instructions for the foldy book with pencils in the spine!

  16. So glad mine atc's have arrived! Will look out for yours, but the postman is noisy (I'm sure he reads every thing first! (no not really!) ...Last years being very late, this years probably still sticky, I made the other rocking horse black with a permanent pen, but even than took days to not be sticky! ATC's are another mini work of aRt! Happy WOYWW

  27. Beautiful images and I love the stained pages, can't wait to see the finished piece. What a great idea to have a lid on your cup - I've done the brush-in-the-coffee trick as well...mind you, that's not as bad as taking a slurp from the paint pot, which I've also done :o)x

  32. Late for WOYWW but my comment is very much related as I am back from my travels with Flat Susan and here to thank you so much for your ATC. Super idea for it too!
Can't believe I'm home with no travelling before me until September when DD in Germany has her 2nd child... a boy! A first in our family!
Best wishes and thanks again Elizabeth!

  33. Lovely Image, I am not much of a tea drinker, I only drink tea when there is no good coffee around. It reminds me of a long time ago when some English people I was spending some time with convinced me that tea is better for you and taught me to drink tea without sugar. it makes me smile those time. give Bluebeard a cuddle for me, he is one beautiful cat.

    Hugs Eliza and Yoda 25
    Belated WOYWW greetings
