WOYWW 207: The one where there's nothing to show

It's the last week before the gigantic Fourth WOYWW Anniversary (see link for details) at Julia's Stamping Ground

and I have nothing to show on my craft room desk, except WOYWWendy and a damaged craft mat.

There's nothing on my sewing machine or guillotine cutter, either.

Conversely, nothing on my basement studio desk (except greedy photo-hog Miss Wendy of course).

No matter where I looked, she was posing, bangs hanging in her eyes (like I wear mine), hoping to be included in the shot.

When I decided to take a photo of my roll-around craft table that sports my new ironing board I've turned into a fabric stamping station, she jumped at the chance to be in the shot.

So where, you ask, is the rocking horse this week?  Well, if you've been a WOYWW participant as long as I have, you've seen these before.  But it never hurts to show them again, especially since I count six between the two craft spaces.

If you visit from Julia's, please leave your number.  Last week I was unable to visit two people who didn't leave a number and I couldn't find their names on the list.  I apologize and am hoping for a better track record this week.

  3. hi Elizabeth! it's always nice to be encouraged to tidy up when i visit work areas like yours! yes, Patsy was with me in Singapore. We were a group of 19, including my parents, my in-laws, all the children in the family (although the youngest is already 16 years old).

  4. Now that is what I call a big room and also Tidy! Lovely to see all your space and what is that Wendy doing? She must have had 'ants in her pants' when you were busy doing the photography bit.
Didn't find the rocking horses despite looking.
Hugs to you and Bleubeard - Neet 2 xx

  9. Wow awesome straighten up in the craft and art rooms. Can't wait to see what happens when you get busy and get to messing the space up again. Today the news is better about the storm damage and death toll. I am glad that the toll is less but it feels sad to be saying that! Have a great week. Vickie #26

  11. Well, there's always someone who hogs the limelight, isn't there...it must be tricky to live with such a diva! I'm amazed that the paparazzi aren't stalking your house with Miss Wendy in residence.... ;-)
Nice to see all your craft room...and weren't you lucky to pick up those sewing machine parts too??

  13. Miss Wendy certainly is an attention seeker! Maybe if your desk spaces were a little more untidy she would not be so visible......only spied one rocking horse. Happy WOYWW, Anne x #53

  18. OK so is the microwave for craft or making hot drinks whilst crafting? All the empty areas, just waiting for them to be used again. Shopping is called for with the craft mat, well who needs to be told to craft shop?!?!?! Happy WOYWW! Karen 85 x

  20. Damaged craft mat.. did you forget it was there and use a cutting knife.. thats my usual trick which is why I set up my cutting mat right next to it to stop it happening in the future.. so far so good!

  22. OOh Elizabeth, I could walk in and get going straight away - hope you have that feeling too! My DD and her friends call Wendy's behaviour 'lens tarting'..I say if you're photogenic, what's the prob?!!

  23. I think you need to do a Where's Wendy book. Maybe then she'll get enough attention to satisfy her! I hope have been on a tidying frenzy rather than having lost your mojo.

  24. Very neat and tidy! Wendy reminds me of Flat Stanley (did say that before?) more than Wally/Waldo. Maybe she can travel... on a rocking horse, peeking from behind a mask, buried in a pile o'paper...

Like a treasure hunt every week, to see where she might be.

    :)

    Happy WOYWW!

  28. Hi Elizabeth! You have soooo much space and lots of clear floor. I usually trip over the mounds on my floor :^((( Not safety conscious, that's me. You're right about the bottle of course. I'll have to find something plastic to bring around but by that time, summer will be over and I have no place to bring it to!!! You've visited me so I do not need to put a number, thank goodness! I always forget my number!

  33. Love your craft room! Is that a doll in your sewing machine? Recently, I found some old chipboard file dividers, look ancient! But instead of throwing them out, I'm upcycling them into some art journals, and I've got some great inspiration from some of your posts, so thank you! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #106

  50. Hi Elizabeth and Bleubeard and Wendy! I sure hope you were spared any damage from the aweful weather out there and hopefully tornado season has ended early. What a great work area and so neat and tidy too! Did Wendy help you clean up? Today is my first day of WOYWW and I am trying to get to as many blogs as I can. Your blog is great and I look forward to being a follower and visiting on Wednesday. Have a wonderful week and can you teach me how to be so clean in my work area? Robin #139
