October and November pages in my monthly calendar
I'm still having problems with Blogger not allowing me to leave comments on any Blogger blog with embedded comments (like mine), although I can leave them on blogs other than Blogger. So if you don't see a comment from me, please don't think it's because I don't care. It's because I can't leave a comment. I'll at least try to visit.
Of course, all of this stress is nothing compared to what my wonderful blogging friends who live on the east coast of North America are experiencing. Wherever you live, please take a moment to think about what these blogging friends are experiencing while we sit warm, cozy, safe, and dry in front of our computer screens, enjoying endless electrical power that plugs us into the world wide web. How incredibly stressed and helpless these friends must feel today and in the weeks ahead as they attempt to rebuild their lives, homes, and communities.
Having said that, I'm also still participating in Kate's monthly calendar challenge. You can see all the entries at The Kathryn Wheel if you click the link. I'm sure Kate is pleased so many of us are still keeping these daily musings. Just two more months to go before I have to find and start a new journal, this time one that I'll have to start from scratch.
October was a dichotomy of images. I was torn between autumn's pumpkins and my (now seemingly inconsequential) computer woes.
For those who prefer to see my crude attempt at cutting and drawing pumpkins, here is the left side of my October pages and
here is the right side, which is primarily devoted to images depicting my computer problems.
Unfortunately, because of the obstacles Blogger has placed in front of me, November is not starting out too well, although we all know I'm faring much better than many of my fellow Americans. As always, I will wait till the end of the month to decorate my pages based on what has happened in my world this month.
I hope November will be less stressful as the month progresses, because I will be sharing my art every day
on Art Every Day Month or AEDM as I will call it from now on, which is an extension of Creative Every Day. Thanks for visiting, either from The Kathryn Wheel or AEDM.
EDIT: I now believe my blog problems are related to Blogger. I could not find the link at Kate's today. It was simply NOT there, like it's not on my blog, either. However, I tried something different. I went to my BING/Microsoft translator on my left sidebar and put in Kate's blog address. It came up along with the link I needed to add my blog and photo. It was only then I could add the address. Even now, I can't see my blog or any other blog for that matter, unless I go to the translator. I only hope this problem gets resolved soon.

Your thoughts are very important to Bleubeard and me. I appreciate it when you care enough to stop by and even more when you leave a short message letting me know you were here.
I don't want to ever turn on comment moderation, so when I find comments that don't relate to my blog content, your comment will immediately be deleted.

Love your calendar and have wanted to create one for so long now... maybe this will be the year!

November already = WOW!
ReplyDeleteYour calendar pages are flipping so fast it seems
sure hope you get your leaving comments issues solved...that would drive me up a wall too!
thank you for your nice comment on my Messenger of Hope pages...to clarify the blue background came about after cleaning the paint off my brush from mixing too much paint for some Oct journal pages (you know waste not want not)... felt a little challenged putting words to that post and in the end said just a little ...
Happy November dear E

Glad most of my buds are safe, it is so scary for those folks who have to start again because there is no starting over really, so much is lost. Hope the computer woes go away. Nice full pages with lots of paint, yum. xox

ReplyDeleteLove the first day of October...setting off Sally's alarm in the same space. What a hoot!
ReplyDeleteHope all is well....
I must say you do a good job of "hanging in there"! I swear there is nothing more frustrating that a computer, unless, maybe, a husband! At some point, you can usually reason with a husband....for a computer, only money talks. I love your pumpkins, they have character and you drew them!
ReplyDeleteSorry Blogger continues to be such a booger! Your October calendar is wonderful! The background on November says happy to me- love all those colors!
ReplyDeleteLove the calendar pages and I hope you can get on better with blogger in future.

ReplyDeleteSo glad I was able to see your link.Your calendar spreads are so beautifully layered with color and depth. I plan on keeping up thru next year too-it's so nice to look back on the past months. Boy would I love to have your 92 F day!!!We were w/o power in my area for 5 days during the hurricane-the worst part being so cold but we were also so much more fortunate than so many others. Now today we're expecting high winds again and some snow-ugh!
ReplyDeletebeautiful backgrounds again ! Love your calendar pages !!
ReplyDeleteWhat browser are you using to access blogger? Since I upgraded to ie 9 I have problems on and off with facebook, blogger, etc. I switch over to google chrome or firefox and it seems to not have any problems! Not sure about the wole translater issue however. Probably something you've already tried but this came to mind.
