WOYWW 166: the new studio sign edition

I took a two week hiatus from this insanely popular Wednesday blog hop, hosted by the Queen of England . . . . . Stamping . . . . . WOYWW, our own Julia at Stamping Ground.

In case you missed it, I was given $30.00 US worth of buttons in exchange for a tutorial on how to use them in mixed media art. I created 18 signs that welcome you to my main floor craft space and show what I'm doing at any given time of the day, along with one storage container. Now that the tutorial is finished, my table is bare.

However, I would never leave you wondering where the rocking horses are, so this week they are on my door. Of course, you might also be able to see one of two new ones in the window, too.

Have a super week and look for me out and about shopping 'til I drop. After all, Wednesday is the day I shop for groceries.

  1. My desk looks like yours- I spent today cleaning and organizing my head- I mean my studio. It seems whenever I get my desk all clean my head gets clearer...

  3. I thought I'd get a head start on my desk hopping even with Mr Linky going AWOL. Maybe he's decided to have a hiatus too?
I love the open door look this week and I'm glad to see you back...look forward to seeing what you get up too ;D

  5. Those are really great signs Elizabeth, but you made how many?? Lol! Can't believe you have no space in that huuuuge basement room of yours!! Enjoy your Wednesday shopping trip!

  6. Hi Elizabeth,

The two tier stand was only $3.00 so I splurged. Our thrift store charges lots for clothes but I usually just head to the back where the other stuff it. Those guys sell things cheap!

Your desk looks like it's waiting for you. What did you do with all the buttons? I'll go release my WOYWW post even though we can't link up....

    Hugs,
    Kay

  11. Well I'm off shopping till I drop too, but I don't have a sign. Yet. Except perhaps it would give Mr D the vapours...I should prolly just say I'm going out! Blogger played me up this morning as you could tell....I was just copying your site address to link you when your name popped up - sorry if you've been up all night!

  16. There is something inviting about an empty desk or workspace. All ready for your next great adventure. Nice to see the signs in use - you did a great tutorial on the buttons.

  17. Shopping not my thing so I don't think I will see you out and about. Mind you I am in Australia so might be a bit far. Now that desk is looking really neglected, you must do something on it.

  29. still loving that button hanging! So clever of you - thanks for the nice comments on my beachy shots....that is something that we all forget - so many states are land locked and don't have access to ocean beaches, though a lake will do as well. There must be lakes around Wichita, right? If not, maybe you just need to set up your sprinkler and let it sprinkle all around you or, better yet, fill a big tub and dangle your feet in to cool off. Your side bar says it's 102 now! Those are Las Vegas temperatures (we lived there for 5 years and loved it). Keep cool.....

  36. I love creating with free stuff...love the signs. I love my fur babies and grandbabies! I have a friend that detests any type of pet, furred, feathered, finned etc. Daphne made a very rude remark about a single cat hair one day and I pointed out that her hair was on the table next to her plate and uninvited her to the coffee klatch. I feel sorry for cause she is such a sad and miserable being. Enough of that! Stay cool my friend. Vickie #130

  37. Rushed off my feet this week I haven't been able to get round many desks at all apart from reply to my own comments. Things took a turn for the better and I got some work that's actually gonna pay me properly not like working for my mom who well doesn't pay me fair wages for what I do, she cant afford to so its no big deal really I get free room and board! Anyhow I am waffling! Love your changeable hanging sign its fabulous and love the tutorial on putting holes and windows and doors in books too!

    Much Love

  39. Love the button hanging and the sweet little rocking horses. Just read your latest post on rusting - the results are fab. I'm not a medic (just a one-time medical secretary) and I could be way off beam here but as haemoglobin contains iron, perhaps the rust reacts with that.

I sent you a private email some time ago and as there has been no reply I guess you didn't receive it. Perhaps you could contact me by email, at ellie.worthington@sky.com as I'd like to make contact.

Hope you have an enjoyable weekend. Elizabeth x #18
