Technically this isn't tea today, but since I'm celebrating with Kimmie at Art in Red Wagons, I'm calling it a tea day. Early this morning before the heat took over, I finished mowing, edging, and cleaning up the very last of the hail damage from nearly a week ago. It's now time to relax with a cup of ice coffee (French Roast with half and half) just the way I like it. I've included a few strawberries for nourishment. After all, a gal's gotta' keep up her strength!
Hope you have a great Tea Tuesday and consider joining us, even though you may be drinking coffee today like me.
Nothing like a good glass of iced coffee after yard work! I need to get busy in my yard today!
ReplyDeleteOh a gal after my own heart.....looks good, nothing better after mowing! xox
ReplyDeleteYour photo is beautiful Elizabeth...with the rich colors and morning sunlight
ReplyDeleteThat cup of iced coffee looks delicious and your strawberries are just perfect too!
Happy T day to you!

I'm paying for my yard work with a bout of poision "something"....gawd, it's itchy! That's the price you pay for gardening on the edge of woods! Those strawberries look yummy! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
ReplyDeleteHow idyllic. I just wanted to thank you for your lovely and thoughtful comments. It's nice to know that my how-to stuff is appreciated. I always want to know how things are done, so I assume others do to! And please, feel free to quote me at any time. And no need to let me know; I'm one of your faithful followers.
ReplyDeleteThank you for cheering up a dismal day.
cheers,
rachel
...ooo Iced French Coffee sounds delicious and after a hard morning's work maybe something with a little more substance is called for, as you say gotta keep the strength up...and strawberries too beautifully presented in crystal, you know how to live Elizabeth, just wish our weather here would call for such occassions, dank & dreary offerings for us i'm afraid...Mel :)
ReplyDeleteoh I loved ice coffee back in the day... when I could drink caffeine! looks yummy.. stay cool..
ReplyDeleteHow nice to be able to get out in the yard and work. Boy is it hot here. Too hot to do anything at night. Our evening lows are in the 90s so there's really never any relief. Have a great rest of the week. Tammy
ReplyDeleteLOL! Coffee here, too. Yard looks nice, BTW. :)
ReplyDeleteI came to see your desk for this week and saw your garden instead lol. I also got a fright when I logged onto Julia's blog and thought I was misreading the woyww number. oh well it will go up soon. Love your beverage and fruit display

happy woyww, looks like you did ok in the swap ;) it was so much fun, can't wait for next year already lol. have a great day, mark
ReplyDeleteI think ATC swaps are a lot of fun and yours look great.
ReplyDeleteI can't e-mail you but wanted to say my GP referred me to the Ortho. Splint 24/7 for 6 weeks and then just at night for 6 weeks. I can't go that long without making art so I'm going to have to figure out a work around.

Happy T Tuesday :) I have just taken a liking to the iced capps at Tim Hortons....but it's rainy here today, so something warm is good :)
ReplyDeleteI love your ATC's in the new post, the red is so brilliant!
Your morning light and dappled shade are so pretty - what an inviting spot to linger before the heat of the day arrives - and good plan to do all that work while it is still cool. Your iced coffe looks soooo good :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday (Wednesday)!!!
seeing as you worked so hard I can forgive the iced coffee thing, and there are strawberries so that makes everything better I think... stay cool...xx
ReplyDeleteWe had those same glasses when I was a kid! They only came out for "fancy meals". Funny how we do those things.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are using them.
Happy T day on Thursday.
