Next came all the accessories, like the tea bag holders and tea infusers. Every good tea setting needs at least one of these. Once the infuser has been chosen, which means you will be using loose leaf tea,
it is now time to decide if you want to use a matching cup and saucer, or a couple of orphans that go well together. You might also want to choose a tea pot, although the one above appears to be for a tea bag, rather than loose leaf tea.
Now that you have chosen your cup and saucer (or mug as the case may be), it is time to pick a nice accompaniment like a green tea leaf mint or a chocolate covered mint that will melt in the tea. And finally, it is time to pick your tea. Today's tea is TeaLicious Lavendar Earl Grey, a smooth tea I really enjoy drinking. And that is how I picked what I will be drinking today! Now all I need is the heated water. Have a great Tea Tuesday and please join Kimmie and us if you would like to participate in this fun Tuesday activity. Remember, you don't have to drink tea. There are times we don't, either!

To a tea! I'm sippinng my coffee, Elizabeth. I have a full cleaning of the playroom scheduled but I thought I'd double check on the design elements. These are so fascinating. I just perused a site that explains them through photography. JUST FASCINATING! Who has time to drink anything! lol
ReplyDelete...what a wonderful ritual teas drinking is & there's nothing quite like tea in a china cup...depending on the time of day how you like it differs, in the morning i'm a builder's mug kinda girl but in the afternoon i'm quite partial to a drop of Verbena or Liquoirce tea...hope your having a wonderful day Elizabeth...Mel :)
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have so many choices, aren't we blessed. I'm always looking for tea accessories when I'm out. I still love your little tea pot tea bag holders, especially the one with the birds on it. Happy tea day.
ReplyDeleteI would love to join you for a calm cup of tea!! It all looks so gentile and calming and I think the actual ritual makes the end product even more enjoyable... and of course, it has to be in a cup and saucer in my book!!
ReplyDeleteyour steps to a tantalizing and lovely cup of tea really got me in the mood...nice wares you have there!
ReplyDeletehad to stop and put the kettle on :)
your light blue placemat took me back many years to when my Mother painted a set of those for us...they are long gone but the memory lingers...thank you for that spark too!
Wishing you a very Happy T Day E!

ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful ritual.
it can't be an only a tuesday ritual?
this one deserves to happen everyday.
ps: i love the tea ball infusers. i started collecting them for a project i have mind. i now have about 9 of the larger ones and 4 of the small ones. i favor ones made out of aluminum, vs the newer stainless steel type. maybe i will start on it today.
have a happy tuesday.
Lovely choices indeed. That cup is so pretty.

ReplyDeleteI don't drink tea. Can't stand the stuff. But I love all the bits and bobs that go with it. Everything looks so beautiful and it's lovely that you spend so much time thinking about it and enjoying the ritual.
