Further edification required me thinks. I'm pretty sure the 'tiger' was a cheetah or a leopard ;) and I too love the giraffes. Wee Man calls them all Geraldine after an educational giraffe puppet of the same name. And I think the tree sitter is a Macaque monkey.
Hope you are enjoying a good weekend :DTwinkleToes2dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07848604298196551253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14359045.post-91247764328068150182015-08-08T12:49:34.853-05:002015-08-08T12:49:34.853-05:00Thank you E.!

I think zoos do the best they can with what they know, and it's important to look at how zoos improve themselves as they improve their understanding of the needs of animals. Your new elephant exhibit will be a treasure, I know.

That mystery animal.... is it some kind of ape? My eyes aren't what they used to be *squinting*

I'm looking forward to more zoo pix! :)Divers and Sundryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01759655568104782267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14359045.post-25074708093257537642015-08-08T07:48:29.892-05:002015-08-08T07:48:29.892-05:00Well, I guess the tram had its pros and cons! But it's hard to get photos when they drive too fast, as you noticed. Some of the cages do look rather small, that's true. The giraffes are my faves, I always love seeing them.We have 2 zoos near here, but I haven't been to either one in a very loooong time!Have a fun day today! Even in winter, many put on studded tyres and pedal boldly on, through even the foulest snow falls and the grimmest temperatures. I don´t though, I take the bus or walk. Cycling in sub-zero degrees don´t agree with asthma, I find. Used to live near a zoo in my teens, went there often and sometimes to sketch, as a matter of fact! The meerkats are wonderful to sketch, as they like to stand still in very pretty positions. Your tiger looks very leopard-like to me. ;-)Viktoria Berghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00608160759512904861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14359045.post-36684331992834626322015-08-07T17:40:47.125-05:002015-08-07T17:40:47.125-05:00What a fun day out at the zoo!
