Second on the 2nd: Spring

This post is for Second on the 2nd.  If your second look is the same as your T Tuesday post, please add your link both places.

For those of you who visit for my Second on the 2nd, you know I like my second look to reflect our host at Art Journal Journey's (AJJ) theme. That means I needed to find something related to Spring, as chosen by Chris, this month's host, whose blog is PearShapedCrafting. Today I have two entries that fit the category.

I call this one Spring is for the birds.  The background contains various dye inks on a substrate of 110 lb card stock.  This was created in my Challenges altered book.

I created this in my large art journal, I began by sewing the three collage elements together, then I sewed them to the pink backing page using variegated thread.

Now it's time to share your own Second on the 2nd.  The rules are quite simple and everyone is welcome to join the fun look back.  All you have to do is bring back a post that you are especially proud of, or perhaps one you shared before anyone knew your blog existed.  It could even be one that holds special meaning.  Any post, any genre, any artistic endeavor is acceptable, as long as it's been published sometime in the past.  Then link below (direct links only, please) and Bleubeard and I, along with other Second on the 2nd friends, will be by to visit.
