Haunted

I want to thank Mia for hosting in September.  I had a lot of fun making Backgrounds.  I can also say truthfully this is the first month in at least two previous months that I have been able to visit every player/participant at Art Journal Journey (AJJ).

Today we welcome a new host as we do at the beginning of every month. This month we are honored to have the extremely talented Elle from Empire of the Cat.  Elle has given us several choices.  Her theme(s) for the entire month of October are Steampunk, Halloween, or Steampunk Halloween.  Since I really don't have any Steampunk images or rubber stamps and I'm rubbish with AI, I will need to stick with Halloween this month.

For obvious reasons, I named this Haunted.  Detail images are below.

I found the old house in a magazine.  I cut it out and added the gravestone that I colored using a black Posca pen. I added the faded white cross using a white gel pen. I set a bird on top of the gravestone.  I punched several more birds I had also colored black.  I fear my bird punch is in need of some serious sharpening.  I placed one of the birds on the chimney and two on the side of the house.  I computer generated the word and outlined it using black dye ink.

Please remember we welcome art journal pages that meet the theme requirements, altered book pages, canvases, loose, or stand alone pages including fabric and digital art.  I (and the administrators) cannot leave comments on Facebook, TicTok, or Instagram entries.  We do not allow cards!!!  We also don't allow tags, index cards, ATCs, or ATCoins, unless they are part of a journal page, and as much as we don't want to, will be forced to delete your entry.  Please remember if your blog is not in English, we ask that you translate it for us since the translation tool doesn't work on some blogs, including mine.  Finally, we do not allow back-links to any journal page published prior to the start date of this month's challenge. Hope to see you and your Steampunk, Halloween, or Steampunk Halloween inspired art soon at Art Journal Journey.
