Updating the herb garden

I decided it was time to update the herb garden after the hail.

My sage was battered around and was knocked over at the base, but none of the leaves were damaged.

I could tell the drought tolerant herbs from those needing daily watering.  My lavender and mint were doing well.

Rosemary, oregano, and thyme (large pot in the back) were doing fine.

Milkweed and peppermint came through the storm with minimal damage.  I can't say the same for my tarp, which seems to have broken down and now permitting weeds and grass to grow through the holes.

Thanks for dropping by today when I assessed the damage from the hail in my herb garden.

  1. Plastic cannot hold up to the ravages of the sun... and will break down... It should quickly be covered with some mulch or some such thing... Nice seeing your herbs Elizabeth and that several of them came thru the hail in good shape! Hugs! deb

  2. Hail does a lot of damage, but your plants seem to have withstood the onslaught. Good stock!
