Gilt Edge

I'm once again joining Matilde from Craftowanie, our host this month at Art Journal Journey.  You probably know by now her theme is People.

I'm sure you can see where I got the title Gilt Edge.  The vintage sheet music background was colored using pink and brown water soluble crayons.

This is a detail of the focal image before I mistakenly covered the words with the brown fancy fibers.  I believe (but am not certain) this image came from The Graphics Fairy.

Bleubeard and I are very grateful you stopped by today.  We would love to see you at Art Journal Journey with your own interpretation of People.

Because there is a face in this post, I'm also sharing it with Nicole's Friday Face Off. It's been awhile since I participated, but hope to do so more often.

  6. I love vintage adverts like this. There is something about the children they portray. Works nicely with the background you made.
